Fox News' Hill is worst person "runner up'' for saying that "something about what [Clinton] said ... drove [Eisenberg] over the edge"
During the December 4 edition of MSNBC's Countdown, host Keith Olbermann named Fox News host E.D. Hill the "runner up" in his nightly "Worst Person in the World" segment for, as Media Matters for America documented, saying of Leeland Eisenberg -- the man accused of taking hostages at the Rochester, New Hampshire, presidential campaign office of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) -- that "something about what Sen. Clinton said just sort of drove him over the edge. That's kind of what it appears to sound like." Olbermann stated: "Our runner up, E.D. Hill of 'Fixed News,' rounding out a weekend of absolutely psychotic Fox coverage, politicizing the hostage situation at the Hillary Clinton local headquarters in New Hampshire last Friday. The hostage-taker, Leeland Eisenberg, an emotionally disturbed man who had concluded he needed hospitalization and was not getting it, apparently saw a Clinton campaign ad in which another New Hampshire [sic] resident [Joe Ward] said Senator Clinton had helped him to get health insurance. He reportedly told a relative that he was, quote, 'going to do something to get into the hospital.' " Olbermann concluded: "So, E.D. Hill says, quote, '[S]omething about what Senator Clinton said just sort of drove him over the edge. That's kind of what it appears to sound like.' Just sort of kind of what it appears to sound like? She didn't drive him over the edge, Miss Hill; she drove you over the edge."
As Media Matters noted, during the December 3 edition of Fox News Live, Hill asserted that, according to "the Sunday Citizen newspaper," Eisenberg's estranged wife, Lisa, "claim[ed] ... her husband had been binge drinking for three weeks and desperately wanted help with his problem." She added, "He claimed that he couldn't afford health care. And something about what Sen. Clinton said just sort of drove him over the edge. That's kind of what it appears to sound like." In fact, in a December 2 article, The Citizen of Laconia reported that Lisa Eisenberg "said her husband had been binge drinking for more than three weeks and 'ran out of options,' " and that Eisenberg "watched a televised campaign ad for ... Clinton," in which "a man identified as Joe Ward tells viewers Clinton helped him get health insurance so his son could have a life-saving bone marrow transplant, Lisa Eisenberg said." However, in the ad, Clinton only says: "I'm Hillary Clinton, and I approve this message."
From the December 4 edition of MSNBC's Countdown With Keith Olbermann:
OLBERMANN: Our runner up, E.D. Hill of "Fixed News," rounding out a weekend of absolutely psychotic Fox coverage, politicizing the hostage situation at the Hillary Clinton local headquarters in New Hampshire last Friday. The hostage-taker, Leeland Eisenberg, an emotionally disturbed man who had concluded he needed hospitalization and was not getting it, apparently saw a Clinton campaign ad in which another New Hampshire resident [sic] said Senator Clinton had helped him to get health insurance. He reportedly told a relative that he was, quote, "going to do something to get into the hospital."
So, E.D. Hill says, quote, "[S]omething about what Senator Clinton said just sort of drove him over the edge. That's kind of what it appears to sound like." Just sort of kind of what it appears to sound like? She didn't drive him over the edge, Miss Hill; she drove you over the edge.

Leave it to the propaganda agents of Fox Noise to lie again. Olbermann hits another home run with Worst Person in The World.
Just what I want in a news program, someone to tell me who the competition is the worst person in the world. What a sad state of affairs Olbermann represents for Cable News in America today. Homerun, no. More like a big strikeout.
Wanna re-do that post? I don't think it was shallow and superficial enough.
Keith deals in facts and Fake Noise deals in..well...Fake Noise. Oh, you can't strike Keith out, he's patient at the plate and can't be fooled with curves, sliders, junk pitching, just hits his homeruns every night!!!!!!!
SAVE DEMOCRACY!!!! VOTE INDEPENDENT!!!! END THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM!!!
Sue I have to agree with you, I do not want to watch another program and be told every night how bad FOX is. Olbermann is boring and he is another example of a partisan hack. ED Hill is a moron but she looks sympathetic when someone like Olbermann starts with his bs.
I don't think you know what "hack" means.
SAVE DEMOCRACY!!!! VOTE INDEPENDENT!!!! END THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM!!!
A Hack is
Olbermann, Hannity, Rush, Oreilly.
People who wish to divide and spout the party line.
That's not what "hack" means. Are you thinking "shill" perhaps ?
Don't forget Tom DeLay.
"Olbermann is boring and he is another example of a partisan hack."
Wrong again. Olbermann and MMFA are brothers in arms who expose right-wing lies.
He has more news in his first segment than O'Reilly and Hannity combined. Maybe that's why you think he's boring - because he actually reports the news of the day and is often times humorous
If Olbermann's not giving you what you want, you need to raise your standards.
Give me an O!
Give me an L!
Give me a B!
Give me an E!
Give me an R!
Give me an M!
Give me an A!
Give me an N!
Give me an N!
What's that spell?
Olbermann!
What's that spell?
Olbermann!
Say it again!
Olbermann!
Louder!
OLBERMANN! YEAH!
Poor Sue...
Trying to defend the Fox Noise cretins is a thankless job isn't it?
Still, it's better not to descend into total delusion.
Keith is the man. You are the one striking out here.
Another slam-dunk by Keith... keep 'em coming!
The entire Fux News Krew is in need of hospitalisation and forced treatment. And I would gladly be the doc in charge...
From the FOX pundits, and their constant naming Clinton in every sentence would indicate to me it is FOX that Clinton drives crazy.

Remember, KO is the guy who flunked basic geography and is too much of a coward to actually have non-lefties on his program.
Also, remember that KO's "Meltdown" program always tries that kindergarten trick of finding a bad photo of the conservative to use as a screen graphic - however, there is NO bad picture of E.D. Hill. WHAT A BAB-0-LICIOUS WOMAN!
In terms of this new topic, let's face it - I think that if I had to listen to that horrible Kansas city hog-calling contest of a voice from Hillary, I'd want to put a bullet through my brain. (I really to sympathise with Bill C.!)

Well in his defense he did have John Ashcroft on last year not sure why Ashcroft went on his show.

Thanks for the link -
I really did a lot of searching to see if KO had any non-libs on the program. I couldn't find anything in the past year.
But - let's face facts! ASHCROFT was on the program!! And, I really want to say, John Ashcroft was a true gentleman, as always!
Wow, don't have an orgasm about it !
o/~ Let the eeeeeeeeeeagle sooooooooar ...
Thanks a lot, Atheist. Now I won't be able to get that horrible image of Asscroft attempting to sing out of my head. LOL...
Only a nutcase con like yourself would say that about E(rectile) D(ysfunction) Hill. She's right up your alley indeed.
And your 'points' about Keith have what to do with this thread?
No bad picture of Edith Ann ? Try this:
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/09/06/foxs-ed-hill-impersonates-helen-thomas/
Hill doing an impersonation of Helen Thomas?
that was actually pretty funny. when I do my impressions of libs I usually just put my finger up my nose and start saying "duh" a lot.
- Justice AND Truth
Guess that's a change from sticking your fingers up your @ss to pull another "fact" out.
*smack*
It's out of the park. Another home run.
Whan I do an impression of a wingnut, I get a psycholotic look on my face and wave a gun in the air and shriek "Repent sinners ! Accept Jayzus or I'm a gunna shoot you !"
(psychotic)
You mean as ignorant as you are thats the best you can do to sound intelligent? I believe it your stupidity is legendary

snoop:
You did a lot of work, but you might just have to sue that lawyer of yours - there are a lot of problems with your list:
1. - Clinton already has the rights to is(C) since he is the only person who seems to know what the meaning of is is.
2. - sorry but the Dennis Kookcinich campaign already owns pathetic(R)
3. - With regard to Check(TM) I already own the VERB, so I assume you own the NOUN.
4 - and clearly Keith O. (host of "Meltdown") is an ass(c) ... oh wait, you own AS(C) my mistake!
There are more problems with that list, but you need to get another lawyer to sue that lawyer.
Why do you come here troll? Is this pathetic stupidity the best you have? How sad and pathetic do you have to be to troll on a site to annoy people? Or is it all about parading your ignorance? Why would you be SO proud to be SO stupid?
Justy does make a good case regarding the kindergarten trick of using unflattering photos as screen graphics. Those kindergartener-produced news programs are some of the worst examples of journalism I've ever watched. They're childish.
You are a liar and a fool and your posts are worthless garbage. Rent a brain
I find re-runs boring.
1. MMFA posted this a day or two ago.
2. KO plagiarized it for his program.
3.Now MMFA reposts the same thread by citing KO.
Hello? McMMFA? Hello? Been there. Done that.
AA
Its called cross promotion. The most hysterical thing about Olbermann is that anyone who watches that show most likely does not watch FOX , so he is changing no ones mind. Olbermann is the perfect example of a hack. It is wrong for MMFA to continue to promote him.
You apparently don't know what "hack" means.
no, You do not know exactly what hack means.
The more people the expose these Fox fundies for what the are, the merrier.
Maybe you'd prefer misinformation to go unchallenged.
Misinformation goes unchallened at the 700 hour on MSNBC, yet Olbermann says nothing. Its called phonyness.
What are you referring to, specifically ?
What is "hack", Sue ? You tell me what you think it is. I think you're confused.
Ok, sorry Sue...
I'm going to send a certified letter to Media Matters right now and ask them to please stop beating up on those fine broadcasters over at Fixed News. They're just trying to do a very difficult job.
And I'm going to tell them that SueEld is mad as hell, and she's not going to take it anymore!
MMFA does a fine job exposing the liars at FAUX News, you seem confused, you feel its ok to not expose MSNBC and the lies they spew because MSNBC hates FAUX. I do not believe the ends justify the means. Think for yourself.
Come on! If you can't enjoy "Worst Paerson in the World" then you:
1) Have no sense of humor
2) Have no sense of irony
3) Are inappropriately tolerant of hypocrasy
4) (And I'm guessing...) Usually vote Repubican.
You've said before that you're not a conservative, but I just don't see it. Mister Olbermann is the Cable TV version of MMFA. Granted, he's probably making a living off them (or the other way around, I don't really know, honestly) But it's good stuff. What's more - when HE makes a mistake, he admits it and usually gives himself the "Worst Person" Bornze for it. That shows humility and some self-deprication. Something none of the Right-Wing hacks (Rush, Bill-O, Beck, Savagae, Coulter) have even a gram of. I don't agree with him 100% (I've actually taken Bill-O's side once or twice if you can believe it) but most of the time he's dead-on.
KEEP IT UP KEITH! YOU AND MMFA ARE DOING GOOD WORK!!!
1. Really?
2. I'm sure Keith is just soiling his britches over the possibility of Brock siccing his lawyers on him. Psst... it's no secret that Keith uses MM and its material for his show.
3. And... who cares, aside from you, of course?
Oh, Sueeld cares too. Anyone else?
She doesn't really care. She just can't think of anything better to do.
I get all of my news from Countdown as it is the only news program I watch. I know FNC does many noteworthy things that are news but if I really wanted to know what they were doing I would watch there programing. I have not heard much about "the surge" in Iraq from Keith lately? Is it working? Is it over? Has it failed? What is happening? It is my hope that Keith will travel to Baghdad and cover the story in person and maybe visit the troops there and give them gifts for Christmas or help them out in some way.
How can Keith name someone "Worst Person in the World" for politicizing a tragedy when Keith is always politicizing tragedies himself? Keith used the Virginia Tech Shooting, the Minnesota Bridge Collapse, and the Utah Mine Disaster to attack Bush.
Perhaps you would care to examine each one of those tragedies in more detail and find the common denominator. While you're doing so, think of 'cause and effect'. You may actually learn something from it.
ED's comments is part of Fox News' continuing agenda of discrediting Hillary Clinton, and Bossman Ailes is leading the way. Ailes, who doesn't like Hillary Clinton, wants his longtime friend Rudy Giuliani in the White House. All the producers are also in on it.
And you will continue to seek negative stories about Hillary until election day.
