KSFO's Rodgers: "With that screechy, fingernails-on-the-blackboard voice of hers, it is impossible for Hillary Clinton to deliver a great speech."

KSFO's Lee Rodgers said of Sen. Hillary Clinton's speech at the convention, "With that screechy, fingernails-on-the-blackboard voice of hers, it is impossible for Hillary Clinton to deliver a great speech." Rodgers later said that Bill and Hillary Clinton are hoping Sen. Barack Obama "falls flat on his face so the Hilldebeest can have another run in four years, and Billy Bentpecker can hide behind the curtain in the Oval Office telling Hillary what he wants her to do as president of the United States."

On the August 27 broadcast of San Francisco radio station KSFO's The Lee Rodgers Show, host Lee Rodgers said of Sen. Hillary Clinton's August 26 speech at the Democratic National Convention, "With that screechy, fingernails-on-the-blackboard voice of hers, it is impossible for Hillary Clinton to deliver a great speech." Later in the program, Rodgers asserted of Bill and Hillary Clinton: "They're not behind [Sen. Barack] Obama. They're hoping he falls flat on his face so the Hilldebeest can have another run in four years, and Billy Bentpecker can hide behind the curtain in the Oval Office telling Hillary what he wants her to do as president of the United States. That's what they really want. And Bill can't control himself."

As Media Matters for America has documented, conservative media figures have mocked Sen. Clinton on numerous occasions for the tone and volume of her voice.

From the August 27 broadcast of KSFO's The Lee Rodgers Show:

RODGERS: Well, I think the remaining question about the Democrats' convention -- and we'll be able to say the same of the Republican convention next week -- the remaining question is just how deep they can pile the unadulterated bullcrap --

OFFICER VIC: Oh, boy.

RODGERS: -- at one of these things. My -- I've been hearing and reading reviews by Democrats saying, oh, Hillary made a wonderful speech last night on behalf of Barack Obama. First, let's be clear about this. With that screechy, fingernails-on-the-blackboard voice of hers, it is impossible for Hillary Clinton to deliver a great speech. And that high-pitched, whiny sing-song, blah, blah, blah. And I saw some of the video clips from it, and sure enough, she comes out wearing the pantsuit of the day.

[...]

RODGERS: Oh, here's -- I like this. This very entertaining story. Now the Democrats and these shills disguised as reporters -- oh yeah, party unity, the Clintons are behind Obama.

OFFICER VIC: No, they're not.

RODGERS: What a bunch of bull-bleep. They're not behind Obama. They're hoping he falls flat on his face so the Hilldebeest can have another run in four years, and Billy Bentpecker can hide behind the curtain in the Oval Office telling Hillary what he wants her to do as president of the United States. That's what they really want. And Bill can't control himself. Now, he's going to speak tonight.

OFFICER VIC: Oh my God.

RODGERS: They've told him what he can and can't say. It'll be very interesting to see whether he goes along with that deal.
