Time's Halperin on Mrs. McCain, Mrs. Obama: "Would-Be-First-Lady on Would-Be-First-Lady Action"
In a February 19 entry to his website, The Page, Time magazine political analyst Mark Halperin highlighted comments made by Cindy McCain -- wife of Sen. John McCain -- following February 18 remarks by Michelle Obama, wife of Sen. Barack Obama. Halperin's entry was titled: "Would-Be-First-Lady on Would-Be-First-Lady Action."

Halperin's post comes less than one week after he
apologized for a comment he made during a February 12 interview with Sirius
Radio's Bill Geddie, in which he said that former
Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) "thinks Obama is kind of a pussy."
Halperin wrote in a
February 13 entry on The Page: "I'm sorry. In a live radio
interview this week, I used a word I shouldn't have. The fact that I was
conveying other people's words is no excuse for my lapse in judgment. It
won't happen again."

Time...getting a bit more ridiculous day by day
As for Cindy "2nd wife" McCain, I figured her to be a little more dignified than this. I wonder how proud she was of her country when Bush assailed McCain in 2000 for having fathered a black child out of wedlock, or how proud she is now that her once tortured husband voted in favor of torture to pander to right wing radio nutsacks???
I guess she is always proud, for a 2nd wife
Prove it?
And no, McCain's SECOND WIFE acted in a manner beneath her dignity...I wonder what John's first wife would have to say about that...
oh and here's a link boston.com/news/politics/president/articles/2004/03/21...
the lovely SECOND mrs McCain
Eden, your comment suggests the mistaken belief that Cindy McCain actaully HAD dignity to sink beneath in the FIRST place.
My postion, this is Cindy McCain revealing herself to be the typical fascist flag-scamming chickenhawkette racist theocratic sociopathic white supremacist hate hag liar female-in-gender-only Republican.
There was never any dignity in her whatsoever, and she let it be known tonight to the Republican base that Cindy McCain is also a flag-scammer, that Cindy McCain is also a fascist, that Cindy McCain is also a hypocrite, that Cindy mcCain is also a theocrat, that Cindy McCain is also a racist, that Cindy McCain is also a white supremacist, that Cindy McCain is also a hate hag.

Here's what happened Slappy...
An anonymous person reported that he/she had received a robo-call stating that McCain had fathered a black child out of wedlock.
No proof was ever put out. (Gee...I wonder why) It would have been easy to provide that proof All that was needed to be done is get the phone records and do a trace as to the source.
Without any evidence at all that it even happened, the lying corrupt MSM ran with the story and and named the Bush campaign , despite the very firm denials by them.. It then became the story that Rove had done this ...and that's all the lcorrupt MSM and the ying left needed.
OK..now give me your evidence that it happened.
Bush Campaign Acknowledged Making Phone Calls.
Tucker Eskew, Bush’s South Carolina spokesman, acknowledged the Bush campaign made such calls, but claimed they were not “push polls.” Eskew added, “Show me a baseless comment in those questions.”
Oops, that darn internet just keeps getting in the way, doesn't it sir leaksalot?
What...you mean Snoopy is an effing liar? Gee, isn't that a surprise?
Bush Campaign Accused of Using Push Polls Against McCain.
College of Charleston student Suzette Latsko said she received a telephone call from a woman who identified herself as an employee of Voter/Consumer Research, and that the caller misrepresented McCain’s positions and asked if Latsko knew McCain had been reprimanded for interfering with federal regulators in the savings and loan scandal. Voter/Consumer Research is listed as a polling contractor on Bush’s Federal Election Commission filings; the Bush campaign has paid Voter/Consumer Research $93,000 through December 31, 1999. Bush spokesman Ari Fleischer denied the call was a push poll, but said it was important that the Republican Party remember McCain’s role in the S&L crisis.

So how is this evidence that the Bush campaign made robo-calls saying McCain fathered an illegitimate black daughter/
Oh, you mean it doesn't/
I had a dog named Snoopy as a kid. She was stupid too.

As far as the topic is concerned, the lovely Mrs. McCain sure delivered the smack down to Omarosa, didn't she? - The Hateful Stranger
Yeah, the evil hateful vicious partisan flag-scamming hypocritical Liar Mrsd. Cindy McCain proved herself to be the typical fascist racist theocratci white supremacist Republican hate hag, spekaing to a room of flag-scamming chickenhawk lying racists and white supremacists. Mrs. Cindy McCain is a flag-scamming hate hag.
What does the Edwards thing have to do with this anyway? And aren't they both "Would-be-First-Ladies?" And isn't this a little "action" between the two?
WITH?
I dunno, usually when I think about girl on girl action it has one or more X's in the rating.
That was my outside voice again, wasn't it? Dang it!
That's the beef? The word "action"?
You've got to be kidding?
That's the only place that I can imagine that any sentence structured like that wouldn't be considered as a pornographic reference.
Not that there's anything wrong with porn.
Oh please, anybody that sees porn in this obviously watches too much porn.
PC gone amok on MMFA, again.....
That certainly is making a creepy leap.....very sexist and misogynistic.
You ought to send your resume to the Uberdouche. you guys would get along great.
Uhh, what? I took the term "action" to be in the context of a political battle, you and the others here took it to mean something pornographic.
The onus is on you to tell us why.
Aren't you the one making the accusation that it is being taken out of context? Unless something's changed the burden of proof still lies with the accuser. So please, while I started out just chumming around, I'm curious now. Can you prove to us that this is something out of context? You have examples of "X on X action" being everyday speak?
Isn't the phrase "too much porn" based on that same "moral relativism" that conservatives are always getting their jodhpurs* bunched up about?.
* Worrierking, I'm stealing from your Hate Horse rider outfit.
Once the words leave my keyboard any fall into the internet tubes they become part of the public domain.
I've already cleared this through my new attorney, Robin Leach Esq.
red on red means your enemies doing battle with each other
i've heard the Obama/ Hitlery competition described as blue on blue
..that's a couple of examples :)
Tommy do you remember the man on dog reference during the gay marriage debate?
It's clearly a porn reference or the tongue in cheekiness in the title disappears...This is here to highlight that Time's writing quality is dumbing way down to satiate the am radio crowd.
Is this the first we've heard from McCain's 2nd wife on the campaign trail?
No, she had given an interview on Inside Edition. Close to the same thing.
I think that this is the FIRST of MANY hateful, fascist, flag-scamming, racist, white supremacist, comments that we will be hearing from the flag-scamming fascist racist theocratic white supremacist Republican hate hag Liar Cindy McCain.
I'd say it's a better pre-2006 post, back when the neocons were relevant and CNN was stumbling over itself to get Glen Beck and his ilk on the air.
Go back ten years and ask yourself if this trite nonsense would have been standard in Time? It's the tabloidization of news, again to appeal to the am radio crowd. It tarnishes Time's respectability.
A crowd I do not lump you in
Yes, I think when Cnn hires Glen Beck and Time allows Halperin to sully its pages the intention is to pander to the more ignorant members of the Republican base. This post highlights another example of Time allowing its credibilty as a straight news source to be tarnished and tabloidized
"I imagine the term "am radio crowd" refers to those legions of idiots who worship at the altar of conservative talk radio, and they are just too dumb to begin with and can't thiink beyond what they're told, is that it?"
You said it, Tommy, not us. I agree, by the way, but with a follow-up.
Most of the right wing fascist lemmings that listen to the lying right wing conservative talk AM also share the same personal indictments as the band of loudmouth lying fascist racist drug addicted chickenhawk sociopathic white supremacist talk radio liars they listen to. Most of these lemmings by choice allow themselves to be told what to think and/or told what to do by the lying chickenhawk flag-scamming hypocritical conservative talk radio loudmouths and conservative female fascist racist theocratic sociopathic white supremacist hate hag hostettes.
The EDUCATED radio listeners, the THINKING radio listeners, can be found on the uncompromised black talk radio stations, with the EDUCATED black talk radio hosts like "The Black Eagle" Joe Madison, Warren Ballantine, Roland S. Martin, Clifford Kelley, Beverly Smith, Ambrose I. Lane Senior, Salim Muwakiill, who tell their audience members to think and to process everything they see and hear from everybody, including themselves.

GOP-Time tarnished their respectabilty long before this. GOP-Time also made themselves into a right wing conservative Republican propaganda rag, starting with their putting Ol' Liar Ann on the cover. GOP-Time's hiring of the right wing conservative Republican Mark Halperin is being done for the purpose of providing yet another corporate conservative Republican media assist to the Republican Party.
GOP-Time's turn to the right is no different than GOP-CNN's turn to the right.
"Oh please, anybody that sees porn in this obviously watches too much porn."
Halperin included.
Tommy, do you live in a pumpkin patch out near Salinas?
I was going to comment but considered the source. Tommy had the same problem with a headline last week. I was going to burn on him but got to thinking how admirable it is for a 21st century internet-savvy adult to "not get it". Innocence is a beautiful thing - and I am now convinced Tommy is truly innocent.
I often wonder how different my life might be if my older brothers had never showed me those 8mm "skin flicks" at the raw age of 12! (Hey, I gotta blame it on someone!) It took me over 30 years to "grow out of" my porn fetish - Maybe Tommy is just one of the lucky few to not have all those hours of his life "wasted"? LOL
I don't understand why someone would make a porn link either...unless maybe one is a porn addict or something.
that would explain why your right fist is your favorite date...
You'll have to explain that one.
when was the last time solid conservative viewpoints were championed on talk radio...as opposed to this new fangled big government neo con nonsense?
and yet the listeners eat it up anyway? if it looks like sheep and smells like sheep...

You said it all correctly, Eden.
Today's right wing conservative talk radio preaches oligarchic theocratic corporatist fascist racist white supremacist big government, where the corporations control the government, where they rule in the interests of only certain American people, where they preach religious supremacy, where they preach white supremacy. They also lie 24-7-365, and their despicable audience are often just as big or bigger liars than the lying con hosts they listen to.
As I said before, listen to the independent progressive uncompromised black talk radio http://www.wvon.com to hear some REAL education and hear some REAL facts and truth. I offer the link to one of my regular black talk radio stations, WVON-AM 1690, as an example.
Will do, I haven't listened before, I'm looking forward to it, thanks for the info
Anytime.
Gonna be tommy 2 and focus on a word? Cause I can't think of one example of "stick in the muds" not focusing on action.
nice try Bruce...any links or facts to back up that opinion?
Bruce, how do I like it?.......UMmm, it suits you! Some people should never where it though.

Since no one else has pointed out the obvious, I will. This is sexist, demeaning and vulgar language to use about women, just as Halperin's earlier language with reference to Edwards and Obama was.
Halperin seems to be suffering from the same women-deserve-to-be-denigrated-as-sex-objects problem afflicting Tweety and his friends. He succeeds only in embarrassing himself. It's appalling he continues to have a job.
