SUMMARY: Rush Limbaugh asserted, "Hamas has endorsed Obama. ... Why do you think they've endorsed Obama? Because they want a very strong ally for Israel in the White House?" In fact, Obama stated his support for Israel in a speech June 4 speech in which he said: "Those who threaten Israel threaten us. ... And I will bring to the White House an unshakeable commitment to Israel's security." Hamas reportedly responded to Obama's remarks by saying, "Hamas does not differentiate between the two presidential candidates, Obama and McCain, because their policies regarding the Arab-Israel conflict are the same and are hostile to us, therefore we do have no preference and are not wishing for either of them to win."

On the June 24 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh stated: "I will guaran-damn-tee you there will not be a terrorist attack before the election. And you know why there won't be one? Because they want Obama elected." He later asserted, "Hamas has endorsed Obama. Hamas has endorsed Obama. Do you think they're going to do anything to upset the apple cart of Obama's election? Why do you think they've endorsed Obama? Because they want a very strong ally for Israel in the White House?" In fact, Obama stated his support for Israel in a speech to the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) on June 4, in which he said: "Those who threaten Israel threaten us. ... And I will bring to the White House an unshakeable commitment to Israel's security." Moreover, contrary to Limbaugh's assertion that Hamas endorsed Obama, while Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to the prime minister of Hamas, reportedly said in an April 13 interview with conservative radio host John Batchelor and WorldNetDaily.com Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein that he liked Obama and hoped he would win the election, a Hamas official responded to Obama's remarks to AIPAC by saying, according to Reuters, "Hamas does not differentiate between the two presidential candidates, Obama and McCain, because their policies regarding the Arab-Israel conflict are the same and are hostile to us, therefore we do have no preference and are not wishing for either of them to win."

Limbaugh also asserted that "every time I hear [Iranian President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad speak, every time I hear a tape from [Al Qaeda leader] Ayman al Zawahiri or a so-called dispatch from [Osama] bin Laden, whenever I hear from any of these Middle East Al Qaeda terrorists, I think I'm hearing Democrat [sic] Party talking points." As Media Matters for America has documented, Limbaugh has previously made similar assertions, as well as claiming on the April 15 edition of his program that "Islamofascists are actively campaigning for the election of Democrats."

From the June 24 edition of Premiere Radio Networks' The Rush Limbaugh Show:

LIMBAUGH: Somebody made a prediction. I can't remember who it is, but they're right, whoever it was. There will not be -- oh, no, no, no, take it back. It was John Bolton. John Bolton said there will not be an attack on Iran by Israel before the election, but there will be between the election and the inauguration. That's what John Bolton said. Said it in an interview with the UK Telegraph. And he started, he said, I just -- I'm beside myself that the Americans, the United States have lost the will to take care of this. They seem happy to farm it out to the Israelis. They Israelis will do it, but they won't do it in a way that will affect our election. But they will do it to protect themselves after the election. So, he's on record with that prediction.

Let me make one of my own. Precisely because every time I hear Ahmadinejad speak, every time I hear a tape from Ayman al Zawahiri or a so-called dispatch from bin Laden, whenever I hear from any of these Middle East Al Qaeda terrorists, I think I'm hearing Democrat Party talking points. I will guaran-damn-tee you there will not be a terrorist attack before the election. And you know why there won't be one? Because they want Obama elected. They wanted John Kerry elected. They wanted the Democrats elected in the 2006 midterms.

Am I politically incorrect for saying this? We all know it to be true. Just listen -- they've said as much. We hear stories -- we read stories in the drive-by media about how some of these despots like [President Hugo] Chavez in Venezuela, others, are looking forward to the election of Obama. Hamas has endorsed Obama. Hamas has endorsed Obama. Do you think they're going to do anything to upset the apple cart of Obama's election? Why do you think they've endorsed Obama? Because they want a very strong ally for Israel in the White House? Do [laughter] --

And I saw the stupidest poll. What was the poll? I don't even know what the poll was -- I got a glance of it on television. It's the kind of poll I don't believe; it's supposed to dispirit Republicans. Something like 48 to 43, Americans prefer Obama to McCain on foreign policy. Now, that's just absurd. That is just -- it's just -- it might have been a Newsweek poll because I think it was PMSNBC. You know, they're in bed with Newsweek. They're not only in bed, they're under the covers with Newsweek.

An outside force (Hama's) likes the idea that America may well elect a president (Obama) that will actually do the hard work of diplomacy......

Full court press in the slime arena by the conservative pundits. All of them. Led by the fat man singing  Saddens me to see the false accusations will continue to get more intense, much like a shark frenzy. And they seem to quote each others statements and somehow convince themselves it is fact.

Yes, and let me review stuff about Limbaugh.  He took some male sex enhancing medicine with him when he went away on a trip.  One has very little to wonder exactly what or whith which sex he planned to do there while dating that CNN anchor.  Or remember, he also had a huge drug problem.  So tell me who has the right to judge.  If I had those things in my background, I would not try to lecture on Godly information and who is the biggest sinner and I am not discussing his weight.

          LOL...too funny!

BTW, do you know if Limbaugh has ever had back surgery? I know he blames his drug addiction on a painful back but if back pain is serious enough to warrant Oxycontin then usually there is some surgical procedure that can be offered to aleviate at least some of the pain. Surely back surgery is not something to be taken lightly...but Oxycontin addiction is arguably more dangerous than the risks of back surgey. Just curious if anyone knows whether Limbaugh ever tried surgey to reduce his back pain.

All I know is that I have four herniated discs, constant back pain, and mive my life without Oxycontin.  I have trouble walking, and qualify for a handicapped placard for my car.  Jeff Christie, OTOH, is an avid golfer who takes time off from his radio pukefest from time to time to play in various pro-am tournaments.  If her REALLY had the type of back pain he claims he does, do you really think he could play golf as often as he does?

The Fairness Doctrine...let me guess, you only want this to apply to radio, right?  Not television, or school systems?  If you're going to wish to implement a form of a "affirmative action", it should be reflected everywhere, not just in the market that you deem necessary due to your objective agenda.

You do actually know what the Fairness Doctrine tried to do don't you? Apparently, you don't.

The Fairness Doctrine was a United States FCC regulation requiring broadcast licensees to present controversial issues of public importance in a manner deemed by the FCC to be honest, equitable, and balanced. The doctrine has since been withdrawn by the FCC, and certain aspects of the doctrine have been questioned by courts.

That being said, I, as a bleeding heart liberal, don't want that thing anywhere near anything.

And also, the former commenter should realize that the Bush "war on terror" has been the BEST recruiting tool ever imagined by terrorist groups and all. Which is why terror attacks around the world are at an all time high. I know what he'll say next, "Well, we haven't had an attack since 9/11.." Which is true, but how many did you have before that? And what were their timings? I would also submit that we've had attacks since then, anthrax anyone? And also, I would also submit that we have had terrorist attacks since the anthrax attacks. Virginia Tech for example.

You guys keep saying that the democrats are soft on terror, but where do you come up with this? Bin laden, still at large, on Bush's watch. We had our worst terrorist attack on our sovereign soil when who was at the helm? Oh right, Bush. Madrid? Bush. London? Bush. Bin Laden, still free. Taliban, reforming in Afghanistan, and carrying out more and more attacks. Yep, war on terror is going great.

On the same note, I'm sure you're also one of those a-holes who will come in here when something is posted about Obama "invading" Pakistan, and start yelling about how that would be bad and all. So how can Obama be soft on terror, and also show force of strength by invading Pakistan, a nation that harbors and funds terrorism. Is it because he's smart enough to not talk about attacking Iran? Which would be the worst possible thing that could happen right now. Guess what happens if we lob a few bombs into Iran? Yes, they declare war on us, and since we have a bunch of soldiers in Iraq, guess what is going to happen there? Iranian army would probably go into Iraq and start killing our soldiers. Guess what else could happen? Since most of Iraq agrees with Iran, good chance that the government of Iraq could side with Iran. Guess who else lives around there that likes Iran and the new government of Iraq? Yes, Syria. I'm pretty sure that they could get involved as well.

It's because Democrats aren't scared so shetless as Republicans are. We know we can defeat terrorism without compromising the greatness of our country. And...because we don't beat our chests to prove to each other how tough we are.

Anyone with one functioning brain cell knows that Hamas, Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah don't endorse candidates in American elections.

The main role of these groups seems to be to create confusion and terrorize populations. How would their endorsement of a candidate who chooses not to play their game help their cause?

Wouldn't terrorist groups prefer to endorse a candidate who's said that he intends to keep playing the game that makes these groups stronger? Their secret is to attack then watch as a nation's military flails at them, knowing that the forces responding will inflict collateral damage on the innocent Muslim populations that will win them converts and support.

Why should we play their game?

They can't vote in our elections, and also, it's not like Hamas is good buddies with Obama, and contributing to his campaign or looking for a cabinet spot or something like that. deeznuts,

in answer to your question "where do they get this stuff" National Geographic did a jaw dropping documentary called INSIDE 9-11,part one was called War on America and part two was titled Zero Hour. It aired about one year ago and it layed out what happened from the early 1990's to 9-11 including the part I mentioned about the two terrorists who were making a bomb in their apartment in the phillipines and accidently blew it up,one of them went back for the laptop and he was captured and gave up his accomplice. their laptop exposed the plans for 9-11 which they started planning after there initial attempt in 1993. Also a mission as large as 9-11 was YEARS in the planning and sadly our intelligence and government failed to protect it's citizens on BOTH sides. I cannot remember one time when Al Gore was running for president him warning about terrorists seeking to attack our country. If you would like a copy of the documentary, I will send it to you.
