SUMMARY: While guest-hosting The Lee Rodgers Show, Brian Sussman said: "If Barack Obama were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence for a jury of his peers to pronounce him guilty? I doubt it. I think Obama would walk." Sussman had previously said of Obama's speech in Berlin, "I could have sworn he was running for Antichrist."

Claiming to have been "lampooned by the left" for comments he made July 28 about Sen. Barack Obama's speech in Berlin, Brian Sussman, guest-hosting KSFO's The Lee Rodgers Show, said: "And I, of course, said, 'Gee, what's the guy doing, running for Antichrist?' " Sussman made no effort to explain or apologize for attacking Obama for referring to himself in the Berlin speech as "a citizen -- a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world." Instead, he questioned Obama's Christianity: "Now I'm going to get into something that is probably equally as offensive to some, especially those listening in on KSFO.com from around the world. If Barack Obama were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence for a jury of his peers to pronounce him guilty? I doubt it. I think Obama would walk."

From the July 30 broadcast of KSFO's The Lee Rodgers Show:

SUSSMAN: Now, we also need to talk a little bit more about Barack. Of course, I'm being lampooned by the left for my comments regarding Barack, his speech in Berlin. And I, of course, said, "Gee, what's the guy doing, running for Antichrist?"

Now, I'm going to get into something that is probably equally as offensive to some, especially those listening in on KSFO.com from around the world. If Barack Obama were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence for a jury of his peers to pronounce him guilty? I doubt it. I think Obama would walk.

Several key pieces of evidence here, ladies and gentlemen. I'll go through these quickly. First of all, you know, he says, "I've always been a Christian." That's what he said in December while campaigning in Iowa, asked about his faith: "I've always been a Christian."

First problem that the jury would have: his name. Barack Hussein Obama. Distinctly Muslim. Barack -- Arabic for "blessing from God." Hussein -- of course, that's also a translation for dictator. Well, I'm being funny here. A man was executed with the name Hussein. Isn't that -- come on, lighten up a little bit here, people. Oh, I forgot. All together: We're not supposed to call him by his middle name.

      What's in a name?

Christian or Muslim, I haven't seen him make his faith a guiding force for his campaign.

I agree with the last part.  Thankfully, both Obama and McCain haven't been emphasizing faith in their campaigns.  I'm glad that it's becoming a smaller issue throughout the political spectrum, that leads to more civil discourse (at least from Obama)

Why do you choose to smear Obama by saying "Christian or Muslim"?

He's not Muslim. He's Christian. Why do you act like there's some potential that he's Muslim? And don't even try to suggest that what Hillary said is evidence of doubt. She didn't have doubt. She only said that since we can't see into his soul, we can't know everything about him, but given what he's said and done, there's no doubt he's a Christian.

The point I was trying to make is that he doesn't emphasize what religion he is, and TBH it really shouldn't be an issue. If I was smearing Obama by calling him a Muslim, I was smearing him just as much by calling him a Christian.

Wrong.  A smear is a falsehood or an insinuation of a falsehood.  It would not be a smear to call Obama a Christian.

However, calling people like Pastor Hagee, Rod Parsley, James Dobson, and Pat Robertson "Christians" is a smear to Christianity.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A MUSLIM NAME.

Once again, it's time to refute the brain dead, right-wing professional liars with my favorite bucket o' fun facts:

Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. was born and named after his father in 1961.

This was 18 years before Saddam Hussein assumed power in Iraq and began his maniacal dictatorship,

26 years before the founding of Hamas,

27 years before the founding of al Qaeda,

25 years before the founding of Hezbollah,

10 years before the founding of Palestinian Islamic Jihad,

and 33 years before the Taliban inflicted its reign upon Afghanistan.

During the same year that Barack Obama was born, Osama bin Laden was 4 years old, and Ayman al-Zawahiri was 10.

Sussman thinks that telling lies shouldn't be offensive to us? Sussman thinks that saying that someone is the Antichrist, when there's no behavior to back that accusation up (yes, it's hyperbole when anyone says it, but there are some people who are truly evil, and Obama isn't one of them), shouldn't be something that causes people to be offended?

      The guy is morally bankrupt.
