SUMMARY: On his syndicated radio show, Jim Quinn referred to the National Organization for Women as "the National Organization for Whores," and said of Philadelphia Daily News columnist Fatimah Ali: "[Y]ou know, Fatimah, what's your real name? Come on, seriously. I mean, get an American name, will you, if you want to be an American." He then asked: "You don't suppose she's a liberal black Muslim, do you?"

On the September 3 broadcast of The War Room with Quinn & Rose, co-host Jim Quinn referred to the National Organization for Women as "the National Organization for Whores." Quinn stated: "Yesterday, I said, I wonder how long it's going to be before one of these Alinskyites -- formerly known as Democrats -- one of these Alinskyites out there suggests that Sarah Palin is not really a woman. Remember [Sen.] Kay Bailey Hutchison [R-TX] was a female impersonator, according to the National Organization for Whores?" Later in the program, Quinn aired a clip of Fox News host and Washington managing editor Brit Hume discussing a Philadelphia Daily News column by Fatimah Ali. Following the clip, Quinn said: "[Y]ou know, Fatimah, what's your real name? Come on, seriously. I mean, get an American name, will you, if you want to be an American. You don't suppose she's a liberal black Muslim, do you?"

As Media Matters for America has previously noted, on the August 11 broadcast of Quinn & Rose, guest host Mike Pintek questioned the authenticity of Sen. Barack Obama's birth certificate, saying: "I still keep wondering about his birthplace and his birth certificate. I'm still not convinced that he actually was born a natural-born citizen." Additionally, during the August 27 broadcast, Quinn introduced a segment about Sen.Hillary Clinton by playing audio of the Elton John song "The Bitch Is Back." The next day, Sen. John McCain was a guest on the program.

Talkers magazine ranks Quinn & Rose number 54 on its "Heavy Hundred" list, which it describes as the "100 most important radio talk show hosts in America" based on Talkers' criteria.

From the September 3 broadcast of Clear Channel's The War Room With Quinn & Rose:

QUINN: The Democrat [sic] Party is now the "Alinsky Party." Yesterday, I said, I wonder how long it's going to be before one of these Alinskyites -- formerly known as Democrats -- one of these Alinskyites out there suggests that Sarah Palin is not really a woman. Remember Kay Bailey Hutchison was a female impersonator, according to the National Organization for Whores? Remember that? Well, James Lewis, American Thinker: "is Sarah Palin really a woman?"

[...]

HUME [audio clip]: A Philadelphia Daily News columnist is warning that if John McCain wins the November election, quote, "look for a full-fledged race and class war fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness, and hopelessness." Fatimah Ali'spiece is headlined, quote, "We need Obama, not 4 more years of George Bush." She writes that Republicans have overstayed their welcome and the country may be headed for chaos. Quote, "Plenty of Americans would rather stay in their dream state than recognize the poverty sweeping across the country right here, right now," end quote.

QUINN: I'll tell you what, folks, it's the great depression. It's bread lines, soup kitchens. Fatimah Ali, writing in the Philadelphia Daily -- you know, Fatimah, what's your real name? Come on, seriously. I mean, get an American name, will you, if you want to be an American. You don't suppose she's a liberal black Muslim, do you? I'm just curious.

how little do you understand about your party?  They want to people to fear ALL people of Islam.  And they want us to embrace ALL Fundamentalist Christians.  The radical Christian agenda is no less frightening than the Radical Islamic Agenda.  It's all war and death and "end of days" no matter what invisible man in the sky you think is behind it.  The Democrats realize that there is very little differecne in the political beliefs and social behaviors of moderate, mainstream christians and moderate muslims.  It's YOU GUYS that labeled ALL muslims terrorist.  You and your ilk blurred that line to distract us all from Bush's miserable failings.

I think all these foreign sounding names should be changed.  Muhammad Ali could rename himself "Cassius Clay", and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar could call himself "Lew Alcindor", for instance.  Otherwise, kick them the hell out of the country.

Unbelievable, even for shock jock crap.

K, I don't get the Alinsky refference. I'd be amazed if anyone tryed to say that Palin isn't a woman. Is there some problem with being a liberal black muslim woman?

The law naturalising births by american nationals in Panama was enacted after JC was born. It is not a retroactive law. I guess another illegal republican presidential victory is not worthy of note.

It's incredibly difficult to believe that the Founding Fathers would have intended children of those serving their country to be anything but U.S. citizens.  That would discourage people from serving.  There might be a technical issue here, but for all practical purposes McCain has been accepted as a valid candidate, and that's as it should be.

I'm also anticipating further explanation about how conservatives consider right-wing professional liars like this to be "fake conservatives" and not "real conservatives."

They elect some idiot to the presidency, but when he inevitably FUBAR's the country, he's suddenly "not a real conservative."

They listen in droves to idiots like this and keep the ad revenue coming in, but when they utter offensive sewage like this, he's suddenly "not a real conservative."

Good news in P-Burgh today.   Rush has been interrupted by the Pirates so the Dittoheads will be roaming around not knowing what to say. It is always hilarious at work. At 3:00pm they are geniuses. But when Rush is not on, they cower in their cubicles and can only use yesterdays talking points. And NOBODY listens to the Pirates. The NOW lost any credibility when they remained silent, for purely political reasons, during the years of Clinton's presidency.  Even though the belief at the time was that any accusations by women were gospel and not to be challenged.  It chased several senators like Tower from office as it should have for groping members of their staff.

But along comes Bill and he's just an 'alpha male' for all his misdeeds, including rape, and NOW keeps it's mouth shut.  Why, becaused politically they valued their leftist agenda before the needs of women.  In defending wild bill, they showed their stripes.

A whore is someone that gives away something precious for a price.  It's like the guy who asks a girl to sleep with him for a million dollars.  She says yes and then they guy says what about for 5 dollars.  Indignantly she replies, what do you think I am?  He say, we have already established what you are, now we are just negotiating price.  That's what NOW did with their credibility.

          neveragaintobeconfusedwithvygotsky,

I believe that a number of the 'so called' feminists avoided the idea of removing Bill from his office because of his misdeeds, including his risky sexual entanglements.  Why, probably because he said he believed in what they believed about abortion.  A great line from the movie, Primary Colors, which looked like it written right out of his first presidential campaign, is when the campaign manager is challenged to repudiate all the lying his candidate/boss does is, "He lies, but he lies about the things I care about!"  That is why NOW was relatively silent when compared with Packwood, Tower and other's who were accused of assaulting women.

Maybe they didn't use the term 'alpha male' in their public comments, but I am certain that it was used by others to excuse his behavior before the public.  If a republican president had done the same, NOW would have been all over his use of power to intimidate women and misuse them, drawn and quartered.

I'll say that I am wrong, when NOW comes out in support of Palin as a candidate because she is a woman. One that on her own merits has risen to a grand and unique position in American history.  I won't hold my breath.

      Hey darlin,

You must still be in the air as I'm writing this. IMYL. How long a flight is it from D to C? I spent most of the morning/afternoon running a few errands. Then went through the archives, found some funny stuff, but I'm sure I've just barely scratched the surface. If you're around later I'll post it :-) You asked awhile ago what I thought of Biden as Obama's VP pick. Well, early on Biden would have been my choice for the Democratic nominee, just based on the fact that out of what I didn't consider a particularly strong group, he was the best of the rest. Of course this was before I changed my mind about Hillary. She was my gal. But, as you know I'm cool with Obama, certainly over McCain. The Obama-Biden ticket is a strong one, IMO.

Well I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread on & off today. See how quiet it stays. Let me know if you find me...Be back later.

I'm imaging that today will be like yesterday. Too many people, too much extraversion required (I'm only good for about 2 hours), getting hugged within an inch of my life (these people really are so nice), and the photo albumns will get whipped out again (btw I got a really cool B&W photo of my MIL dressed to the nines and one of my FIL in a fedora looking every bit like Robert Townsend). Very cool. I'm getting them restored. And of course we'll be swapping funny stories about my FIL. The dude really was crazy and funny.

Thanx for inquiring about my flight. It takes about 5 hours due to needing a connection. But everything was on time and it went well. And everybody's taking good care of me. I'll try to get here in the morning tomorrow. Bye, your little magnet girl.
