During the October 7 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Michael Savage said: "When things failed in my life, I picked myself up by my bootstraps. The government stole my manhood from me, or tried to, to give the job to an unqualified minority or an unqualified woman. They almost ripped my heart out, but instead of rolling over and dying, I came back, and here I am."

As Media Matters for America noted, Savage previously said, "I went through a sort of depression in my own life as a result of liberal social activism. They imposed affirmative action on me and stole my very birthright simply because I was white." Savage also previously called "civil rights" a "con" and asserted: "It's a racket that is used to exploit primarily heterosexual, Christian, white males' birthright and steal from them what is their birthright and give it to people who didn't qualify for it."

Talk Radio Network, which syndicates Savage's show, claims that Savage is heard on more than 350 radio stations. The Savage Nation reaches at least 8.25 million listeners each week, according to Talkers Magazine, making it one of the most listened-to talk radio shows in the nation.

From the October 7 broadcast of Talk Radio Network's The Savage Nation:

SAVAGE: I'm gonna talk about personal responsibility in my generation and my father's generation -- how it was drummed into me, personal responsibility, and how these yuppie scum -- these yuppie slime have no personal responsibility, with the yuppie slime in the government having no responsibly. Yes, I have personal responsibility. When things failed in my life, I picked myself up by my bootstraps. The government stole my manhood from me, or tried to, to give the job to an unqualified minority or an unqualified woman. They almost ripped my heart out, but instead of rolling over and dying, I came back, and here I am.

if you claimed they stole your brain, that might be a little more believable.  and how do you know the mccain campaign is lying?  beside their lips moving.  their ad is running.

Is he talking about the Dean-ship he didn't get because he was woefully underqualified for that position? The tired old poor old me song and dance. Yeah, he's so downtrodden that he has a PhD, a successful radio show, and gets paid some decent money to rant and rave about how hard it is to be a white man in the United States these days. What a rube.

Just yell "White Power" and get on with it, Savage. There's no point in whining and bitching about how "your manfood was stolen" if you don't proclaim your so-called "white prite". If there now is such a thing.

Well, to jack-booted Klansmen like Savage, I guess there is.

It's truly a shame that no one stole his manhood before this low-life was able to reproduce. His hatred has been passed to the next generation.....

Why does Weiner keep forgetting to mention that he was trying to become the Dean of the School of Joirnaism at U/Cal and the person who beat him out for the job actually HAD a PhD in the subject?

Yeah, but that guy was BLACK, so it HAD to be affirmative action because otherwise, how would that other guy get the job in front of him? No "uppity" black man is smarter than Savage by God.

The truth is, Mags, that Weiner was beaten out for the job by another white man, making his claims about being a victom of Affirmative Action more than a little puzzling.

I thought these guys hated government? So why are they always trying to get govt. jobs?

Kind of like they always talk trash about San Francisco (Hannity, BOR, you name em) but never miss a chance to go there and complain about it in person.

      Hey, Savageweiner?  Look down...

See that?  That IS your manhood.  Or at least, what's left of it.

Now, ask yourself: Why in the world would the government want that?

      Stole his manhood?

I heard he used to give it away or make equal trades with other men.

      Allen:

After speaking to you on the phone about how nice the black-white thing is in mountain villages in Fiji, I walked downstairs to the school courtyard, where a little-known black brother looks at me, takes my hand gently, we do some old-world Lower East Side finger tricks, and he peacefully kisses the back of my hand—I do the same for his hand. I told him about our brief talk, and he says, "I must have felt the vibes."

If an entity as impotent as the US government stole your manhood, then perhaps you really never had it to begin with, Mr. Savage.

I, on the other hand, got a job based on my parents' relationships with people who worked for my employer, despite an applicant pool that included numerous women and minorities who were just as qualified as me. And let me tell you people: It makes me feel like a MAN.

For you numbskulls who don't understand a simple metaphor, SavageWeiner is only using his manhood as a symbol of a government so small it could be drowned in a shot glass.

His art is wasted on you liberal philistines.

People need to pressure Savage to release the lyrics to his song, "White Man." He copyrighted it, but never published it. Alternatively, someone who lives in or near D.C. could go to the US Copyright Office and look it up ... Aren't you just dying to know what he wrote? And since when does anyoine have a "birthright" to a particular job? Savage wrote about his "birthright" being stolen from him in one of his books, referring to the journalism school deanship. He figured he was qualified because at the time he had been on radio for two years.

Maybe he was qualified, maybe he wasn't "as" qualified as someone else...maybe they weren't "as" qualified as him. How would you guys know exactly? Either way it is how he sees it...his opinion...he still picked up from there and became a successful radio show host and a best selling writer....sounds like what most people do when they fail...they get back up and try again and make it another way or in a different way....Or some just shrivel up and hope the gov't will pay their wellfare:)
