SUMMARY: A Hill article asserted that "[s]mall businesses are also worried about an Obama healthcare proposal that could require small firms to provide health insurance to their workers." However, during the presidential campaign, then-Sen. Barack Obama proposed requiring large businesses that do not provide employer-sponsored health coverage to pay a percentage of their payroll into a National Health Insurance Exchange but stated that small businesses would be exempt.
In a March 17 article, The Hill asserted: "Small businesses are also worried about an Obama healthcare proposal that could require small firms to provide health insurance to their workers." However, as Media Matters for America repeatedly documented, during the presidential campaign then-Sen. Barack Obama proposed requiring large businesses that do not provide employer-sponsored health coverage to pay a percentage of their payroll into a National Health Insurance Exchange to help Americans purchase private health insurance but stated that small businesses would be exempt.
During the October 7, 2008, presidential debate, Obama stated of his health care plan, "Small businesses are not going to have a mandate," and stated during the October 15, 2008, presidential debate: "I exempt small businesses from the requirement for large businesses that can afford to provide health care to their employees, but are not doing it."
Moreover, Obama proposed a Small Business Health Tax Credit that would reimburse employers for up to half the cost of employees' insurance premiums if they choose to provide coverage. During the October 7 debate, Obama stated, "What we're going to give you is a 50 percent tax credit to help provide health care for those that you need."

What does anything that Obama said in past debates have to do with RIGHT now? The answer is...NOTHING! To totally debunk the foundation of this article which is based on words out of a liberal politicians mouth during debates is easy.
He also faked being a centrist when all of us that knew anything, knew this man was selling a bill of goods to the American people. Anyone that did their own research knew the Marxist views that Obama agreed with even as a young man. Economic justice. He uses this term obliquely but this is socialist code. This means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It's a euphemism for socialism.
From his current and planned actions, that is in motion.
Obama also talks about "fairness in the economy". Code for "soaking the rich". A segment of society fails to understand that includes mom-and-pop businesses filing individual tax returns which is a huge part of our economy.
From reading his two books it is easily seen that he is a strong believer in class envy. He assumes the economy is a fixed pie, a discredited Marxist model, whereby only the successful get rich at the expense of the poor. Really bright thought there.
He disguises the wealth transfers as "investments" to make America more competitive. Or he says, "This gives us a fighting chance". Whatever that means.
His New Deal also guarantees a "living wage", with a $10 minimum wage indexed to inflation; and "fair trade" and "fair labor practices", with breaks for "patriot employers" who cow-tow to unions, and sticks for "nonpatriot" companies that don't.
The seeds were only planted for Obama as a teenager. They were far more radical than any biography or profile in the media that has been portrayed.
A careful reading of Obama's first memoir, "Dreams from My Father" reveals that his childhood mentor up to age 18 - a man he cryptically refers to as Frank - was none other than the late communist Frank Marshall Davis, who fled to Chicago after the FBI and Congress opened investigations into his "subversive", "un-American activities".
As Obama was preparing to attend college, he sat at Davis' feet in his Waikiki bungalow for nightly bull sessions. Davis plied his impressionable guest with liberal doses of whiskey and advice, including: "you'll start believeing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that sh**."

The Woods Fund provided Kellman with the original $25000 to hire Obama. Here is where Obama would later serve on the Woods board with terrorist bill Ayers of the Weather underground.
Not long afterward, Obama had marginal success starting new welfare programs in chicago. He decided he would study law to bring about "REAL CHANGE" on a large scale.

well to be honest i did....i mean from things you have said it would make it seem that a massive redistribution of wealth would impact me and benefit me since im on the lower end of the income ladder. given that i grossed last year 26k between my two jobs.

First, this is the Marxist progression:
Socialism begins with beliefs that the poor are not getting their share of the pie. Welfare benefits skyrocket. Buzz words are created that politicians use: tax the rich; they are making too much money; "economic justice", "Universal health care".
Next, Marxism takes the socialistic beliefs and creates new laws under the guise of being good for everyone. Such examples are the hate laws, speech laws where we lose the freedom to criticize certain behvior or the government. It always results in a loss of freedom. The first freedom to always go is religion. To survive certain religions such as Orthodox and catholic become close friends of the government and snuff out the competition.
Finally, under communism the economy begins to suffer, production and quality lags, and prices are high. Inflation precedes depression. Because a depression precedes communism, one person comes forward that the poor love who is voted into office and then gains more power until he becomes a dictator. Recent examples are Hugo Chavez, Stalin, Hitler, Castro. Communism then nationalizes the industries.

There are so many red herrings, straw men and nonsensical arguments in this post, it would take a week to annotate them all. So let me summarize by saying that all the platitudes and resurrections of failed McCain/Palin talking points from the 2008 election do not change the fact that America rejected conservatism, the GOP and all it stands for, which, as we have seen full and well, wouldn't fill a thimble to halfway.

The tax hike will affect all levels of Americans. With higher energy taxes, no one is immune. Obama has done nothing to help small business and when we see those small business folding....let's give the credit where it belongs....OBAMA.

My wife's boss at her accounting firm crossed party lines and voted Obama. He was excited particularly by Obama's promise of a small business tax credit. The guy being pretty savvy of the economy and what would help it the most felt totally deceived when he saw what the government was about to do to small businesses when the 08 code came out. He was devastated.
Now we brace ourselves for the FULL impact of this choice. Watch what will happen once the government spending slows down, inflation.
If an accountant doesn't understand that 95% of the people and that 98% of small businesses in the US will get a tax cut under Obama's plan, then he is not a very good accountant.

from the fourth book in the series called " God Emperor of Dune". the title Character Leto II is an opressive tyrant. he is well aware of this fact and embraces it. why, because he can see the possible futures of the human race and he is attempting to ensure its survival. knowing that to do so would cost a very high price. namely that he had to become an opressive tyrant and transform himself so that he would live for 4000 years.
the paralell is this.
Leto in being oppressive knew that by doing so he would drive the human race to come up with innovations that would be beyond anything ever created before. new technologies were developed that were of great benefit.
the real like paralell is this......by taxing the indsutries it may drive them to find ways to make the system work for them and become more efficient. thus benefitting everyone.
