On the July 21 edition of Fox News' America's Newsroom, co-host Bill Hemmer said that "[a]ll the networks apparently are signing up to cover" President Obama's prime-time press conference on July 22. According to Mediabistro's TVNewser blog, however, one network is not going to cover the press conference: Fox Broadcasting Co. Fox will reportedly air its regularly scheduled program, So You Think You Can Dance, during that hour, and an on-screen graphic at the beginning of the program will direct viewers to tune to the Fox News Channel or the Fox Business Network if they want to watch the press conference.

From the July 21 edition of Fox News' America's Newsroom:

HEMMER: In the meantime, you got a major press conference -- what, prime time Wednesday night. All the networks apparently are signing up to cover it. They shifted the time a bit earlier in the night to accommodate the --

From TVNewser's July 20 entry:

Late word from FOX broadcasting:

FOX will not be airing the Presidential News Conference on Wednesday, July 22 at 8:00 PM (ET). FOX's sister networks, Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network will air the press conference in its entirety. FOX will be alerting viewers with an on-screen graphic at the top of the 8:00 PM (ET) hour that the press conference is available on Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network.

ABC, CBS and NBC have announced they will air the news conference.

Roger Ailes has a really big head.
It fills the entire TV screen and leaves you with a feeling of Dread.
I personally believe he orderd the vicious attack on Michelle Obama because the man has a heart of Lead.
Bill O'Reilly wouldn't have the Guts to use the word "Lynching" without Roger Ailes giving the Go Ahead.

      Speak truth to power.

It is valuable to know this, but frankly, who really cares whether Fox News covers the press conference...or anything else for that matter. They have no credibility. Who watches them?

So many people know that they are a propaganda machine that anyone watching them is simply someone who has already bought into the Neoconservative Republican line of bs.

More people watch Fox News than all the other cable news cable combined. Gullible citizens still believe what they hear there.

Fox News set for best year yet
Viewership solid as rivals take post-election hits
        By James Hibberd

With the second quarter coming to a close, Fox News averaged about the same number of viewers as the top three other cable news networks combined. And while rivals including CNN (-22%) and MSNBC (-18%) took hits following last quarter's inauguration-fueled boost, Fox News (-3%) remained nearly steady.

Compared with last year, the Fox News (averaging 2.1 million viewers, 509,000 adults 25-54 quarter-to-date) is up 35% over last year in primetime viewers and 48% in the demo. CNN (805,000 viewers, 210,000 in demo) fell 16% in viewers and 29% in the demo. MSNBC (787,000 viewers, 259,000 in demo) climbed 15% in viewers and about on par, -3%, in the demo. And CNN Headline News (553,000, 201,000) showed very strong growth, up 39% and 37%, respectively, and is on track for its best second quarter.

Actually these press conferences are nothing but a bunch of dancing anyway, so both Fox networks will have it.

Sarah Palin or Bobby Jindal this time?

Well, if they're so scared that ratings are going to drop because of this press conference, I guess they're just so full of themselves they think they don't need any.

It doesn't really make any sense, Fox doesn't really broadcast important news anymore, anyway. And when it does, it doesn't do so honestly.

Are any of the Republicans getting tired of this little hissy fit that Fox, and certain other, news companies are throwing? I know that a lot of people, especially the ones that hate Obama so bad it must hurt them sometimes, eat it up because...well they hate the president.

But, is anybody else getting tired of this?

That whole thing from Hemmer sounded like a huge, "well, we didn't like him, so when he came to play we took our toys and went home, and we won't play with him anymore" silliness that my nephews or their friends might come up with on the playground.
