From the November 16 edition of Glenn Beck:

BECK: It seems like this is what SEIU does. It's what they did to a TV reporter [Ken Hamidi] in California earlier this month. They left him bloodied and in the hospital. Even--

STERN (video clip): We took names, we watched how they voted, we know where they live.

Fact: SEIU leader stated Hamidi initiated violence

While Hamidi claims that "union thugs... brutally beat me up" as part of a "conspiracy" organized by SEIU Local 100 leaders Yvonne Walker and Jim Hard, Walker has reportedly stated that Hamidi "again attempted to disrupt a meeting" and "When he was asked to leave, he responded by physically and verbally assaulting several staff members--causing injury to one individual."

Fact: Stern not part of the story

Despite Beck's suggestion, even Hamidi has not alleged that Stern was responsible for his alleged assault, instead accusing local officials of giving the "direct command" to attack him.

Fact: Police reportedly "not sure who's to blame" for altercation

In a November 6 news report, California's KCRA Channel 3 News reporters stated that "Sacramento police still aren't sure who's to blame for the bloody and chaotic end to a union meeting in downtown Sacramento" and that "what we still don't know is the big question: who attacked whom?"

Fact: Hamidi removed from previous SEIU meetings by police

According to a November 6 article on the incident by KCRA: "Hamidi is an outspoken critic of the union. He hosts a cable access show that regularly criticizes leaders of SEIU. Hamidi admits that police have escorted him out of previous union meetings."

this is an attempt to undermine the union movement in this country, which is part of beck's ongoing "assault" on the american worker's right to assemble and unite. remember, beck believes that unions are communist in their core philosophy. he will do anything to discredit unions. his intent is to "acornize" the unions, to make them less powerful. so, it's no surprise that he would seek to make this a damaging story to union leadership, even though there is no evidence linking leadership. beck , like fox news itself, has shown an hostility to the facts, and anything that gets in the way of his overriding opinion and philosophy. as usual, beck connects dots, where none exist

If you watch the entire video on YouTude (which I did 3 months ago when it happened) you will see that every person not wearing an SEIU Tshirt screamed "They beat that guy!" Everyone recognized that Hamidi was attacked. And no, even Beck did not say that Stern ordered thugs to take him down. It is the ideology of SEIU. Stern himself said, "If the power of persuasion doesn't work, we will use the persuasion of power." Sounds like a threat to me, and it look like exactly what these guys did...just following boss' orders.

This video clip was about the Missouri town hall meeting where Mr. Gladney was assulted by SEIU mambers. The "article" goes on to mentioned a reporter in Sacramento but the video clip was cut if off before Beck spoke in detail about it. So why weren't any charges pressed against these union members? Why is a SEIU attorney representing them?

I personally find it scary anyone says, "we're tryin to use the power of persuasion and if that doesn't work we'll use the persuasion of power." The new mafia? Actually these tactics have always been a close relation to unions.

did you watch the gladney video?? it was obvious he was faking injury. he didn't say anything until an irate observer started yelling "they attacked him!!!". gladney then informed another man that,"you hit my hand". who informs someone that they hit them, unless it didn't happen. gladney saw political gain here. that's what the video clearly shows. that's why no judge will touch this frivolous case.
