Quick Fact: Hannity falsely suggests Democratic health bills would "actually" only insure "12 million" people
Sean Hannity responded to a statement by Democratic strategist Jacques DeGraff that "We're on the threshold of taking care of 31 million Americans who don't have health insurance" by claiming that "It's actually 12 million" who would get insurance.

From the November 20 edition of Fox News' Hannity:
FORMER MD GOV. ROBERT ERLICH: We're on the threshold of quadrupling the national debt.
DEGRAFF: We're on the threshold of taking care of 31 million Americans who don't have health insurance.
HANNITY: It's actually 12 million, but that's a whole different story.
Fact: CBO says Senate and House health bills would each reduce the number of uninsured in 2019 by more than 30 million
According to the Congressional Budget Office's (CBO) cost estimate of the Senate health care bill, "the number of nonelderly people who are uninsured would be reduced by about 31 million" in 2019 compared to current law. Similarly, the CBO's score of the House bill as passed estimated the bill would have the net effect of reducing the number of uninsured Americans by 36 million in 2019 compared to current law.

If an opt-out is passed, it must require at least a 2/3 majority in the state house, the senate and a governor's signature, and allow time for the people to petition that the opt-out does not occur. Only Hawaii has the right to Opt-Out, since their health care system is on a par with those countries that have decent systems.
FACT: Most Americans want guaranteed access to care, not a freakin' overpriced piece of crap policy.
I don't want "coverage," I want Medicare for all! I want single-payer. I want out from under the oppressive regime of the both Democratic and Republican kleptocrats.
Here in Washington, we have mandatory auto insurance that I already can't afford. With what money am I supposed to enrich the same fat cats that have driven us into this ditch in the first place?
The CBO estimates a reduction of the number of uninsured over a decade. Reducing the Medicare enrollment age to 0 would have a greater effect much faster.
Subtracting 36 million from over 54 million gives us over 18; adding the estimated losses puts that at over 24 million just by next year. Adding just half the number of losses over a decade (30 million), we'll be right where we are today.
On top of taking too long, and not covering enough of us, the crappy policies only have to cover 60-65% of what actuarial tables say will be our probable health care costs--if they decide to pay any claims we may make. And for this we're supposed to celebrate?
Emmanuel is said to fear the power of advertising. He wants the special interest money for his team. So we have a de facto takeover by corporate interests: They socialize the costs, and privatize the profits.
Thanks for selling us down the river for obscene profits that will finance your political careers, Rahm and Barack. Except you were elected to govern, not campaign.
Medicare for all!
