Fox & Friends hosts falsely suggest Organizing for America director compared Palin to a terrorist
On Fox & Friends, co-hosts Gretchen Carlson, Brian Kilmeade, and Steve Doocy falsely suggested that Organizing for America director Mitch Stewart compared Sarah Palin to a terrorist when he wrote in a fundraising letter that her book tour is "dangerous." In fact, Stewart wrote that her tour is "dangerous" because Palin uses it as a platform to make false attacks on Democrats, and then the falsehoods are "widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups."

Fox & Friends suggests OFA director compared Palin to a terrorist
From the November 23 edition of Fox News' Fox & Friends:
DOOCY: All right, meanwhile, as we talk about those Gitmo guys, you know who's really dangerous? Is it Khalid Shaikh Mohammed? Is it --
KILMEADE: Major Hasan?
DOOCY: -- any of those guys? No. There's an organization out there called Organizing for America, which is Barack Obama's online group. And one of the guys in charge of that is saying that something that is really dangerous is the Sarah Palin book tour.
CARLSON: Well, apparently, because they are trying to create, you know, a firestorm again. She's an easy target, and so now she could be more dangerous than any terrorist out there. In the meantime, there's all that confusion, too. You remember that other book was coming out at the exact same time that looked just like her book, except it's called Going Rouge? There it is. You know, it's very confusing. It looks very similar, so apparently some people are being confused by the two books.
KILMEADE: Harper Collins has taken out money to put out ads together so people know how to order the right book. But I'll tell you one thing. This is why I think, tactically and politically, they should fear Sarah Palin. This book sale --
DOOCY: Absolutely.
KILMEADE: -- and her popularity are so much bigger than even her supporters could imagine.
DOOCY: Right. And so it's a little payback from Harper Collins, because they didn't like the idea that, rather than Going Rogue, there was this Going Rouge book out. So people who type in Going Rouge will actually be redirected to buy the actual book. And that organizing group from the Barack Obama organization, what they're doing is they're trying to raise half a million dollars to, quote, "push back against Sarah Palin and her allies." Push back.
OFA director called Palin's book tour "dangerous" because of the misinformation she spreads and in no way compared Palin to a terrorist
Stewart: Palin's tour is "dangerous" because her falsehoods are advanced by the media and right-wing groups. In a November fundraising email, Stewart wrote: "Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized, nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama and his plan for health reform at every turn" and that "[i]t's dangerous. Remember, this is the person who coined the term 'Death Panels' -- and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists." He continued: "Whatever lie comes next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform." From the email:

"We Need To Profile Them" Does this Quote have Merit?
To make a Statement like that you need to have a deep Hatred for your Countrymen.
Is this why your Crowds are so "White" Sarah? No Blacks & No Hispanics just potential Militiamen?
Speak truth to power.
Mr. News
Can you throw in any more examples of the truth she is speaking?
The intent for Organizing for America was to spread the 'Palin is dangerous' meme. All they need to do is say that word and let it go viral. This is a lame excuse for an organization that knows how the game is played.

But let's see how rapidly the 'Sarah Palin is dangerous' meme catches on and let's see how often the danger is conveyed as being attributed to the misinformation she spreads around.
SNL didn't explain it that way, and neither did the ex-convict, Martha Stewart.
Well, that's too bad.
If I want advice for how to stuff my bird on Thanksgiving, I'd call on Martha Stewart. Politics? Not so much. Or, was that your feeble attempt at conflating Martha Stewart and Mitch Stewart because they happen to have the same last name? Because, Mitch is not an ex-convict.
I'm pretty sure NOBODY goes to SNL for political commentary. Satire, yes, actual commentary, no.
I'm also pretty sure that nobody goes to Martha Stewart for political commentary either. As someone else said, if I want to know how to stuff a turkey, I'll go see Martha, other than that, and maybe some home decorating ideas, I won't be seeing Martha.
The post here is complaining about how someone said Palin is dangerous, and that person then explained why they think Palin is dangerous. The problem comes about when someone else, Fox and Friends, takes that statement of being dangerous, and turns it into "someone is calling poor Sarah a terrorist", which they weren't.
I do agree for instance, that Palin is dangerous in many different ways, but none of them equate to her being a terrorist.
Dont expect the dems to ever stick to their own words, their direct quote, or their stated intentions. They are free to change their minds as the story changes.
And you're a lame excuse for a thinking human being. Go back to Free RepubliKKK.
Highly effective Propaganda 101.
I consistently argue here and elsewhere that the failure to stop giving legitimacy to nonsense hurts our nation. We have to stop the toxic poisoning of our national debate. We need to be able to fairly discuss issues without having to waste time debunking stupidness and ignorance. We need to stop giving legitimacy to groups like FoxNews and people like Sarah Palin.
You called the 17 year old girl that Norah O'Donnell interviewed a liar because you claimed she said she voted in the last election. Care to expound on that since she categorically denies she said that?
This isn't Michelle Malkin's blog. People here are expected to make sense and be capable of arguing the point. So far, you've exhibited an inability to do either. Don't go away mad. Just go away.
Jeebus, doesn't Stewart talk to any wingnuts? Libruls are scared of Sarah of the North because she's authentic, intelligent, and an attractive conservative woman. That's so much more comforting and easy to understand than reality.
Oh yea, F&F didn't say anything about Mitch compared Palin to a terrorist, they sarcastically said who'se dangerous in Mitch's eyes, the terrorist, nope Sarah Palin. I mean ROTFLMAO .. sad.
More hyperbolic drivel from the drivel network.
Randy
Hmmmm. . . President Obama's first campaign fundraiser for the Illinois state legislature was financed in part by Bill Ayers, a known and unrepentent domestic terrorist whose organization murdered numerous people and injured many others.
All that notwithstanding, I believe Carlson was making a flippant remark, and not a direct comparrison. Sort of like when Jesse Jackson called New York "himeetown." Sorry, I don't know how to spell that derogatory term. We all gave him a pass for that one, right?
Why do you hate the justice system so much?
