Why is Fox News hosting Scheuer to comment on bin Laden?
Despite his previous statement that "[t]he only chance we have as a country right now is for Osama bin Laden to deploy and detonate a major weapon in the United States," Fox News turned to Michael Scheuer to discuss a recently released audio message of bin Laden apparently endorsing the failed Christmas Day attempt to bomb a Northwest Airlines flight. Scheuer has also previously suggested that President Obama is guilty of treason and that the Obama administration is "pro-terrorist."

Fox News plays apparent bin Laden tape, asks Scheuer to comment
From the January 25 edition of Fox News' The Live Desk:
TRACE GALLAGHER (co-host): U.S. authorities are now working to authenticate the message. Michael Scheuer is the former chief of the CIA's bin Laden unit. So I guess, Michael, if I listen to this thing correctly, he's not taking responsibility, claiming responsibility for this failed Christmas Day bombing, yet he certainly is endorsing it and praising it.
Previously on Fox: Scheuer claims country's "only chance" was for bin Laden to "detonate a major weapon" in U.S.
Scheuer: "The only chance we have as a country right now is" for bin Laden to "detonate a major weapon" in U.S. Scheuer, whom Fox News also hosted on December 28, 2009, and January 7 to discuss the attempted bombing of the Northwest Airlines flight and the response of the Obama administration, previously said during an appearance on Glenn Beck, "The only chance we have as a country right now is for Osama bin Laden to deploy and detonate a major weapon in the United States."
Scheuer has repeatedly made outrageous comments about the Obama administration. Scheuer previously suggested that President Obama is guilty of treason, stated that White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel wants terrorists to attack the United States, and asserted that the Obama administration is "pro-terrorist."

Scheuer is a nut case.
obama and his crew should have stopped the panty-bomber in yemen, or amsterdam... but no... no coordination....
how about focusing on jobs and security (anti-terrorism)...
stop spending money on defending terrorist, spend money on KILLING terrorist. (Scott Brown 41)... haha.
Putting terrorists on trial PROVES that the US has the best judicial system in the world.
Also, how do you purport that the Obama admin should have stopped someone getting on board a plane in a foreign country? We don't run the Dutch.
How about some proof of that, or is it only the cons/repub posters that have to supply backup to their claims?
"In an extended interview, award-winning journalist and activist Allan
Nairn looks back over the Obama administrations foreign policy and
national security decisions over the last twelve months. I think Obama
should be remembered as a great man because of the blow he struck
against white racism, Nairn says. But once he became presidentObama
became a murderer and a terrorist, because the US has a machine that
spans the globe, that has the capacity to kill, and Obama has kept it
set on kill. He could have flipped the switch and turned it offbut he
chose not to do so. He continues, In fact, as far as one can tell,
Obama seems to have killed more civilians during his first year than
Bush did in his first year, and maybe even than Bush killed in his final
year."[includes rush transcriptpartial]

You really need to research your links that you claim support your position. They usually just make you look petty and foolish.
You might read the entire interview.
And notice how the other bots have given her a thumbs up, they are just as clueless as mags. No one has backed up her claim at all.
Responding to criticism from former Vice President Cheney that President Obama is making the nation more vulnerable to terrorism, the president’s National Security Adviser, Gen. Jim Jones (Ret.), told ABC News in an exclusive interview that actually the reverse is true: President Obama’s greater success with international relations has meant more terrorists put out of commission.
But the numbers are going up, he said. “The numbers of high value targets that we are successfully reaching out to or identifying through good intelligence” from both the CIA and intelligence agencies from US allies has made the difference, he said. “We have better human intelligence; we know where the terrorists are moving. Because of the dialogue and the tone of the dialogue between us and our friends and allies...the trend line against terrorism is positive, and that’s what we want. If we have a positive trend line we have a safer country.”
8000 terrorists were killed in Pakistan in 2009.
During Bush's term? 2002-2008? Around 3000 terrorists killed in Pakinstan.
How exactly, in concrete terms, does the domestic trial of this terrorist make the U.S. less safe?
And even though these examples have been trotted out before, what about the domestic trial of the shoe-bomber under the Bush administration?
You are just looking for something to complain about because you hate obama, most likely because you are racist. And btw, claiming that 'oh you libs always play the race card' does not diminish the fact that the only possible reason you hate obama to the extent you do, is because you are racist.
How about the fact that he is a fraud?
How about the fact that he is pushing policies and tactics that the majority of Americans oppose?
And btw, race relations will get a lot better when you libs realize that the answer to everything is not playing the race card. But I know it is all you have.
A fraud....well...what facts based on what where how? Emperor Georgie certainly was, proven over and over.
"How about the fact that he is pushing policies and tactics that the majority of Americans oppose?"
A majority of whom? Tea Party members? Most Americans are tired of all partisan politics no matter what side. As far as tactics, I hate the Republican/Conservative tactic of claiming "most Americans" are against Democratic or Centrist ideals when the truth is poll after poll proves otherwise.....unless of course you watch Cluster Faux News.
Explain your statement that he is pushing policies and tactics that the majority of Americans oppose.
You are posting Fox talking points, FL, once again without actually researching whether or not they are true or false. In doing so, you make yourself look as uninformed as you are.
Fact, he promised not to raise taxes of anyone under $250,000, he lied.
Fact, the majority of Americans oppose this health care bill.
Fact the majority of Americans do not want Gitmo closed.
Fact, the majority of Americans oppose civilian trials for terrorists.
Now why don't you back up the prior claim of mags that Obama has killed more terrorists than Bush. That is what started this conversation.
Your turn to address my question, I answered yours.
Fact, Obama has not raised taxes for anyone under $250 k Facts are 1) the President doesn't raise anyone's taxes Congress does and 2) the income tax for people under $250k was cut in April
Fact, Obama and the dems were elected on a platform of healthcare reform.
Fact, most Americans did and do support the closing of Gitmo.
Fact, there is a precedent for civilian trials for terrorists
Fact, Neither Obama nor Bush have killed a single terrorist, the military has.
Wow what a turn of events on taxes, for years I have heard of the Bush tax cuts, now you inform me that Congress controls taxes, perhaps you should let your liberal pals know about this . Or is it just a case of playing both sides of the fence, when it suits your purpose. You must have been a strong John Kerry supporter. Wake up.
Fact--msdnc reports that most Americans oppose the health care bill, http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/12/16/2153563.aspx
wake up.
Fact---USA Today says you are wrong about Gitmo
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2009-06-01-gitmo_N.htm
wake up.
Fact--just because there is precent for civilian trials doesn't mean most support it.
http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/11/17/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry5687306.shtml
wake up.
Fact, your last claim negates any claims that the left have leveled against Bush , since he didn't actually kill anyone , correct? It also negates the same charges against Obama also, the drones did it, not Obama, correct?
Wake up.
Did we invade and take those countries over?
No, their security along with our intelligence dropped the ball. Though I'm sure the utterly redundant DHS, and the bloated bureaucracy that came with it had anything to do with the breach.
Uhhh ... Maybe because Scheuer worked for the CIA in fighting al Qaeda and bin Laden under President Clinton.
I'm getting quite a chuckle out of the fact that MM conveniently leaves this fact out.
You know, as in, after 9/11 when everyone realized who Bin Laden was. Oh, and then they disbanded the Bin Laden unit in 2005.
I think the point is that the fact that Fox News would have someone on the air who spouts such vile, anti-American, fascistic rhetoric is offensive, regardless of what administration he worked under.
The fact that he worked there when Clinton was in office, is not relevant, unless he was a political appointee, which he wasn't.
"US authorities are now working to authenticate the message."
So that means that Fox is reporting on something that hasn't been confirmed and yet is spewing it all over their network for people to believe? What the heck? Now THAT is a journalism fail.
Fox News is shameless in offering speculation as fact.
There's no proof that bin Laden is still alive. The last videotape was declared a fraud.
Well it was not to really tell the real history of Osama Bin Laden.
So why even pay attention!
SMH!
