On his Fox News show, Glenn Beck falsely claimed that there has been "zero warming for over a decade" and that climate change is a "scam" and has been "totally discredited". In fact, longer-term data establishes a warming trend, and the scientific consensus behind human-driven climate change remains intact.

NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), The National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), The U.K. Met Office, and the World Meteorological Organisation have all stated that 2000-2009 was the warmest decade on record for the globe.
Scientific consensus behind human-driven climate change is intact
29 prominent scientists in the U.S.: "The body of evidence that human activity is the dominant cause of global warming is overwhelming." In a December 4, 2009, letter to Congress, 29 prominent scientists, including 11 members of the National Academy of Sciences, stated: "The body of evidence that human activity is the dominant cause of global warming is overwhelming. The content of the stolen emails has no impact whatsoever on our overall understanding that human activity is driving dangerous levels of global warming."
1,700 scientists in the United Kingdom: Global warming "is due primarily to human activities." More than 1,700 scientists from the United Kingdom signed a statement responding "to the ongoing questioning of core climate science and methods." The statement said: "We, members of the UK science community, have the utmost confidence in the observational evidence for global warming and the scientific basis for concluding that it is due primarily to human activities."
American Association for the Advancement of Science: "[S]cientific evidence" shows "that global climate change [is] caused by human activities." On December 4, 2009, the American Association for the Advancement of Science stated that it "has reaffirmed the position of its Board of Directors and the leaders of 18 respected organizations, who concluded based on multiple lines of scientific evidence that global climate change caused by human activities is now underway, and it is a growing threat to society." The statement also said that "the illegal release of private emails stolen from the University of East Anglia should not cause policy-makers and the public to become confused about the scientific basis of global climate change."

You DID misinterpret what he has said on the topic to allege that he was flip-flopping. He wasn't.

Yes, there was warming in the 1979-1998 period, but temperatures have been cooling since 2002.
This is verified by satellites that track atmospheric temperatures, and also Argo, that has over 3,300 ocean buoys that float the worlds oceans.
1. US temperatures are below the average of the last 115 years.
2. North American had the most snow cover ever recorded in February. (it was also drier than normal in this period according to NCDC)
3. The northern hemisphere had the second most snowcover ever recorded in February.
4. Russia probably had the coldest winter ever recorded
5. The Arctic sea ice in April is larger than the last nine years and is at the average of the last 30 years. Arctic sea ice today is about the same size as 1980 but is thicker according to the University of Illinois cyrosphere.
6. Antarctic sea ice was the largest ever recorded in 2008.
So almost everywhere you look you can find signs of cooling temperatures. This is contrary to the climate model predictions.
All the information above is easily verified if you take a look. I know I will be vilified and a bunch of contrary websites will be quoted to contradict the above. But, the truth is the truth,
How about Polar Bear populations, they are today, the largest size ever recorded. The Arctic ice is quickly recovering, a sign of cooler temperatures in the polar regions. And if the Katla volcano in Iceland becomes active, you will see global temperatures fall at a rapid pace. Low solar activity (today the lowest in a century) combined with a return of La Nina conditions, could cause the climate to cool significantly.

Now, we have some of the same scientists saying we're causing global warming and we need to establish new standards to prevent it from getting worse or stopping it all togather, to the point that people who believe in this nonsense seem to think we can establish some giant thermostat to control the climat through enacting laws and regulations to control nature's dynamic climate that has been and still is changing all the time. These same people call Beck and others who say Cap & Trade is a scam and Man-made global warming a fraud, crazy, stupid and other derogatory terms, all without realizing or recognizing their own serious flaws in their mindset.
It's cold in the winter while there will be periods of warming and warm in the summer with cool days, its called weather and you can't control it, all you can do is try to not pollute the world you live in. CO2 is not a pollutant, think for yourselves instead of demonizing the people you disagree with. Engage in reasoned debate, show your data, prove your theory, instead of declaring it to be settled science and anyone who disagrees with you is a flat-earther.

It is but that's not really the point. Greenhouse windows aren't a pollutant but they do cause warming.

Go to NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies - go to The National Climatic Data Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - go to the U.K. Met Office - go to the World Meteorological Organization - go to the National Academy of Sciences - go to the American Association for the Advancement of Science - go to... okay, you get the picture.
Go to these web sites and tell them on their message boards that they don't know what they're talking about. Tell them how wrong they are and show them the evidence that you have that global warming claims are all a hoax. Debate them on the scientific evidence of global warming.
You're wasting your time debating with others who don't know the subject. Go to those who're actually making the claims and let them know how wrong they are.
Please do this. Then we can all sit back an enjoy the hilarity, as they put you and yours in your proper place. In the high chair at the table.
