Hey Breitbart, look to your left
During his speech at FreedomWorks' September 12 rally on the National Mall, Andrew Breitbart berated the media for portraying tea party ralliers as "racist, sexist, homophobe," and "Islamophobe," but the crowd he addressed was full of inflammatory signs.

Breitbart complains ralliers are portrayed as "racist, sexist, homophobe, Islamophobe"
Breitbart: "Turn around and look at the American people, media. These are the people that you called racist, sexist, homophobe, Islamophobe." Addressing the crowd during FreedomWorks' September 12 tea party rally in Washington, DC, Breitbart accused The Los Angeles Times of "cast[ing] aspersions on the American people." He continued:
This is the American people. Turn around and look at the American people, media. Look at them. These are the people that you called racist, sexist, homophobe, Islamophobe. If you don't like the American people I've got a place of warm weather south of Miami that will take you in open arms. How arrogant can you get?
About a minute later, Breitbart returned to criticizing the media's portrayal of the tea party crowd, saying that the media are "lovely as individuals, but as an organism they're flat-out evil. And the very fact that they go out and say that you're racist when they don't even ask you." Breitbart then promised a "week of revenge" if he should ever own his own network. Breitbart said his programming would include discussion of "whether or not Katie Couric is racist" and "whether or not there's a righteous amount of ethnic diversity where she vacations." Breitbart added: "Are you a racist, Katie Couric? That's what you have done for the last year, and we're sick and tired."
Rally filled with inflammatory signs
Media Matters was present at the September 12 event and captured the following photos of signs carried by ralliers, including a photo of Andrew Breitbart standing near a sign that read, "Obama is half white, half foreign, and all wrong for America!":

I think he's actually saying: "The American people are racist, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic... suck it up."
However, i refuse to believe that.
also,
Obama is just like Robin Hood!
lol
Any true christian would know that Jesus would be defending the people who want to build the Community Center/Mosque in New York.
For some reason, Jesus never had a problem with serving the poor or defining the differences between religion and government.
"Rich man through the eye of a needle" and all that?
These Right Wingers better hope none of these Christian loonies they rounded up ever actually try READING their Bibles!

(Or ever buy a Dictionary.)
Even back in the "good old days" when more blatant racism was socially acceptable, I don't think many people went around describing themselves as racists. They were just "proud of their culture" and "protecting the American way of life", just like the teabaggers.
I always know I'm in for a good laugh when I hear or read a comment that begins with " I'm not racist, but...".
BTW, looks like the gay marriage issue got a couple of brothers out to this event. Hate actually can bring people together !
If you read the debates in Congress around the imposition of segregation, the big "civil liberty" the Southern white congress critters returned to again and again was their freedom to hate. But they weren't racist!
Breitbart is the one who was first to label Shirley Sherrod a racist by publishing creatively edited videos on his web site. If Breitbart wasn't the least bit racist, he never would have stooped so low as to publish the video without doing the requisite research beforehand.
It's true also that sometimes a picture (in this case a video) is worth a thousand words, and Breitbart published it.
It's also true that ways and actions speak louder than words, and Breitbart spends a lot of time speaking at events where people have posters and signs that are representative of racism.
The Tea Party movement has empowered these cretins to show themselves for who they are - I hope that's a good thing, but so far, there have been few repercussions for their violent, anti-American rhetoric.
/Breitbarts upcoming excuse
There aren't a lot of comments, but the majority seem to be tea party defenders convincing themselves that many of their fellow "Patriots" don't really exist.
Obama is half white and half foreign...
LOL...I spit coffee on myself.
Homophobia, racism, right wing militia freaks and all around whack-a-loons.
Mark my words: the Teat Baggers are the best thing to happen to the Democrats. They are a scary bunch. Independents will vote in droves to keep Congress free of the tyranny of the grotesque and stupid.
