Discussing TCPR claims, O'Reilly said he'd "like to hear [Gore's] side of things," but ignored Gore's response to TCPR

Bill O'Reilly asserted: "The Tennessee Center for Policy Research [TCPR] says the former vice president [Al Gore] is still using a massive amount of energy at his Tennessee mansion -- more than 20 times the national average." O'Reilly later stated: "So it looks like Gore is a pinhead, but we would like to hear his side of things. And he has an open invitation to appear on the Factor." But at no point did O'Reilly mention that Gore has reportedly given "his side of things" in response to a June 17 TCPR press release on the subject of Gore's purported energy use.

O'Reilly on teenagers' topless photo scandal: "[T]his isn't ... the inner city; you would think that these kids would have some kind of a values system"

While discussing ninth-grade students at a school in New Jersey who were suspended for distributing topless photographs of their classmates, Bill O'Reilly stated, "But it's an amazing amount of kids involved with this -- 20 -- in an affluent school district. This isn't, you know, the inner city; you would think that these kids would have some kind of a values system."

Despite available audiotape, O'Reilly asserted, "[T]he Hagee thing isn't going to take off because there's no tape on Hagee"

Discussing supporters of Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama, Bill O'Reilly said of Rev. John Hagee's controversial comments, "[T]he Hagee thing isn't going to take off because there's no tape on Hagee." In fact, there is audiotape of several of Hagee's comments about Jews, Islam, and Hurricane Katrina.

O'Reilly compared Moulitsas to white supremacist David Duke

Bill O'Reilly compared Markos Moulitsas, founder of the progressive Daily Kos blog, to white supremacist David Duke and criticized Newsweek for its decision to hire Moulitsas as a regular contributor, stating: "And Newsweek magazine, by the way, has legitimized him by giving him a columnist position. I talked to the editor by email, and I said I can't believe that you're -- that's like hiring David Duke. Again, I use Duke too much, but I have to -- the level of hatred coming out of that website is unprecedented."

O'Reilly again misrepresented prior comments about terrorists attacking San Francisco

Bill O'Reilly again misrepresented comments he made in 2005 about a possible terrorist attack on San Francisco, stating on his Fox News show: "I made a joke out of San Francisco. If they didn't want the military, then the next time there was a terror attack, they're on their own." In fact, O'Reilly had said: "[I]f Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead."

O'Reilly claimed "McCain has no power at all" in NC to stop state GOP from running ad attacking Obama

Referring to a controversial ad by the North Carolina Republican Party attacking Sen. Barack Obama, Bill O'Reilly said: "[T]he reality -- and we've researched this -- is that Senator McCain has no power at all in North Carolina, all right? ... And that's the truth." But several people identified as having leadership positions in the North Carolina Republican Party also have "official" roles in the McCain campaign. Additionally, neither McCain nor the Republican National Committee, which has also denounced the ad, has suggested that the North Carolina GOP will face any repercussions for its refusal to pull the ad.

On The O'Reilly Factor, while discussing the "reason that the beauty pageant industry is failing," author Marc Rudov asserted:"[T]here's no shortage of women who want to put themselves on parade and have men throw money at them." He later stated, "Girls just love to expose themselves."

O'Reilly to "race hustlers" and "race-baiters": "[T]he gloves are off"

Asserting that "millions of Americans of all colors are fed up with race-baiters and accusations of racism," Bill O'Reilly identified those he deemed to be "race hustlers" and "race-baiters" -- among them Media Matters for America -- and declared: "You better watch it.
In a promotional ad for Bill O'Reilly's Fox News show, an announcer said, "Is the media celebrating gay culture? Inside Rosie's family cruise." O'Reilly has stated that "I think everybody's got to relax on all this gay stuff."

O'Reilly on Media Matters: "Any of the presidential candidates who can deport those swine -- I'm voting for them"

On his radio program, Bill O'Reilly called the "people" at Media Matters for America "the worst Americans in the country" and stated, "If I could, I would deport them." O'Reilly also asserted: "But this Media Matters, this disgusting, despicable, far-left website, they do it all the time. And MoveOn and all these people, that's what they do. They disagree with you, and they brand you a racist."

Media outlets falsely claim Obama contradicted himself regarding Wright statements

Several media figures have falsely claimed that Sen. Barack Obama contradicted previous statements when he said during a March 18 speech on race: "Did I ever hear him [Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's former pastor] make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in the church? Yes." In fact, Obama previously asserted he had not been present for particular statements Wright made that were repeated by various media outlets and that spurred the recent controversy. He did not claim to have never heard Wright make "remarks that could be considered controversial."

Morris: McCain "doesn't have to" engage in Willie Horton-like campaign because O'Reilly is already doing so

After airing portions of a controversial sermon by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, former pastor of Sen. Barack Obama's church, Bill O'Reilly -- who described Wright's comments as "anti-American, to say the least" -- asked Dick Morris, "If you were [Sen. John] McCain, do you use this against Obama?" Morris replied, "He doesn't have to. You just did. And the talk radio people around the country" will. Morris continued: "[T]he other media, the other conservative media can make a big deal of it."

When will Fox News ask Rove about his reported role in "informally advising" McCain?

Despite discussing on The O'Reilly Factor how Sen. John McCain should run against Sen. Barack Obama if he is the Democratic nominee, neither Karl Rove nor host Bill O'Reilly addressed Rove's reported role in "informally advising" McCain's campaign. Further, Rove did not disclose that he has reportedly given $2,300 to McCain's campaign.

Of course, the main problem I have is if a woman has a female agenda."

O'Reilly again attacked Huffington Post as using "same exact tactics that the Nazis used"

Bill O'Reilly again attacked The Huffington Post, claiming that reader comments on the website employ "the same exact tactics that the Nazis used in the late '20s and early '30s to demonize certain groups of people, so it would become easier for them, the Nazis, when they took power, to hurt those people." O'Reilly specifically mentioned his own site, where he said, "Those people do not have a right to spread hatred around." But several reader comments -- still on the site -- do just that.
