On CNN and Fox, Robertson claimed he was "misquoted" about God punishing Sharon for "dividing God's land"

In appearances on CNN and Fox News, Pat Robertson claimed that comments he made about a stroke suffered by former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon had been "misquoted" and "misrepresented" by media. But in his remarks about Sharon, Robertson emphasized that, according to the Bible, "God has enmity against those who, quote, 'divide my land.' " He went on to say of Sharon, "[H]ere he is at the point of death. He was dividing God's land, and I would say woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course."

Wildmon and co-hosts alleged conspiracy between "mainstream media" and undocumented immigrants "to weaken the Red States"

The American Family Association's Don Wildmon, Fred Jackson, and Ed Vitagliano claimed the "mainstream media" have a "vested interest" in promoting recent nationwide immigrant rights rallies: to swell Democratic voter rolls and, ultimately, "to weaken the Red States."

Colson called abortion "the root of the" illegal immigration "problem"

On his daily BreakPoint radio commentary, convicted Watergate felon and Prison Fellowship Ministries founder Charles W. Colson claimed that legalized abortion created a labor shortage, forcing the United States to solicit undocumented workers from other countries to fill jobs that might have otherwise been occupied by the "40 million sacrificed since 1973" to abortion.

AFR guest Farah links Bush guest-worker proposal to plan by "one-worlders" to merge U.S., Mexico, Canada

On American Family Radio's Today's Issues, Joseph Farah, founder and editor of the right-wing news website WorldNetDaily, asserted without evidence that there are 20 million to 30 million "illegals" in the U.S. Farah also claimed that the "one-worlders" of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) have a plan to merge the United States, Mexico, and Canada by 2010 and suggested that President Bush's proposed guest worker program is part of this plan.

Falwell dismissed scientific evidence on global warming, evangelical efforts to address issue

In a March 12 sermon, Rev. Jerry Falwell claimed that "scientists who are not on the payroll of the government" believe that "the jury's still out" on the existence of human-caused global climate change. Similarly, in a March 5 sermon, Falwell said of global climate change, "I don't think the science supports it." In fact, it is a small minority of scientists who dispute findings that global warming is caused by human activities.

Focus on the Family's Minnery contradicted himself regarding group's involvement with Abramoff associate Reed in casino scheme

On the February 17 broadcast of his radio program, Focus on the Family president James C. Dobson and Tom Minnery, the organization's vice president of public policy, sought to fend off questions arising from reports of their alleged collusion with convicted felon and former gambling industry lobbyist Jack Abramoff in a scheme to shut down competition to his clients' casinos. While both Dobson and Minnery deny working with Abramoff, email exchanges between Abramoff and associates Ralph Reed and Michael Scanlon appear to contradict Dobson and Minnery's claim that Focus on the Family's activities in opposition to the expansion of a Louisiana casino had nothing to do with requests from Abramoff or Reed.
