RON BROWNSTEIN: I think what Trump is demonstrating is that in the modern media era, particularly with the platform that he has, he has had the ability to kind of lead the media by the nose into some of these cul-de-sacs that he creates with these, with these assertions. The tweet about the share of white murder victims that are killed by African-American assailants that was wildly wrong. I mean, this is a pattern, and by the way Chris, it is not a random pattern, right? I mean, the misstatements are not just kind of all over the place. They tend to reconfirm, as you suggest, negative portrayals of different groups.
