Watch A Public Defender's Response To A CNN Reporter's Question About Violent Protests

Toussaint Romain: “I'm Here To Do Good”

From the September 21 edition of CNN’s CNN Tonight with Don Lemon:

Video file

TOUSSAINT ROMAIN: The police getting violent or the people expressing themselves to the police? Because if you want to take this camera and look all around, I don't see the violence man. Until the police are running at us. Until they're throwing tear gas at you and at me, because that's what happened earlier. Why did you get tear gas? Why did I? We weren't being violent, but if we responded in a way that was  frustrated and upset telling America this is enough, that doesn't mean I'm violent, man, that means I've had enough.
