CNN's Rick Lazio: Clinton's “Issue” Is “Whether She Can Show Some Warmth” And “Smile A Little Bit” During The Debate

Lazio: During The Primaries, Clinton “Started To Out-Yell Bernie And Get Too Amped Up ... It Didn't Work Well For Her”

From the September 26 edition of CNN's New Day:

RICK LAZIO: She needs to be aware of the fact that the debates are about the head, and the heart. So the head, she can win on points. The heart is connecting with the audience. Her issue I think will be whether she can connect with the audience, whether she can show some warmth, whether she can smile a little bit, whether she can maybe even tell a small joke. But something that warms her up, I think that's really what her challenge is is whether she could do that and for her not to appear as though she's getting out of character as I mentioned before. When I saw during the Bernie Sanders contest when she started to out-yell Bernie and get too amped up to play to an audience. It didn't work well for her. I would stay away from that. I'd try and be softer, make your point as Tony [Schwartz] said and stay determined.
