MIKA BRZEZINSKI (CO-HOST): While Trump called attention to [Alicia] Machado's weight gain after winning the Miss Universe pageant, holding a 1997 press conference with the beauty queen, featuring her working out. She spent weeks at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort exercising. And actually, in that same time, he did a press conference and he says “this woman who likes to eat a lot” and kind of smirked.

KATTY KAY: Yeah, I can't believe that this is going to help him with women voters. Because we circle the wagons when somebody talks about our own size and when somebody talks about our friends' size in that way. And I felt that that video particularly of him inviting the cameras in to watch her exercise was the most grotesque exercise in humiliation of a woman I think I have almost ever seen on television. The idea that these cameras had a right to watch this woman work out because she had put on too much weight and Donald Trump wasn't happy with it.
