Let's see how much/little chatter there is today about the new ABC/Washington Post poll that shows Obama enjoying a robust 54 percent job approval ratings. As I've been noting for weeks, the Beltway press much prefers the fictitious narrative about Obama's “falling poll numbers.”
UPDATED: This is rather astonishing. In its write-up of its own polling, today's Washington Post makes no mention of Obama's 54 percent approval rating.
None.
Worse, check out this passage [emphasis added]:
The debate over financial reform in the Senate has given Democrats the opportunity to paint the opposition as defenders of Wall Street and unpopular financial institutions, while the passage of the health-care law has freed the White House from a burdensome issue that had taken a significant toll on the president.
Health care reform took a toll on Obama? So why did his approval rating inch up in the latest Post poll?
