Barack Obama was the 44th president of the United States and served for two terms. A Democrat, he made history as the first Black man to be elected president. Before he became president, he served as a U.S. senator from Illinois, and in the Illinois state Senate. He was also a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago, and president of the Harvard Law Review.
