On the July 19 edition of MSNBC's Countdown, host Keith Olbermann awarded Fox News host Bill O'Reilly third place in his nightly “Worst Person in the World” segment for referring to nationally syndicated radio host Rush Limbaugh's lingering legal problems with prescription drugs, as Media Matters for America noted, as “a total setup.” Olbermann said O'Reilly “finally converged with comedian Rush Limbaugh” when, on the July 18 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly criticized the decision by Palm Beach, Florida, officials to detain Limbaugh for possession of a bottle of Viagra that did not have Limbaugh's name on the prescription. Olbermann added: “Right. Somebody set him up. Not with prescription painkillers, with Viagra. Bill, try harder. Even paranoia requires some imagination.”

As Media Matters also noted, on the June 27 edition of The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly claimed that the “Palm Beach authorities” were “trying to ruin Rush Limbaugh.”

From the July 19 edition of MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann:

OLBERMANN: First, time for Countdown's latest list of nominees for the “Worst Person in the World.” The bronze, to Bill O. He has finally converged with comedian Rush Limbaugh. During another diatribe, O'Reilly meandered into the story of Limbaugh's detention at Customs after he returned to this country with of bottle of Viagra prescribed to somebody else. He told the gullibles, “I'm not going to go over the Limbaugh thing in Palm Beach, which was a total setup.” Right. Somebody set him up. Not with prescription painkillers, with Viagra. Bill, try harder. Even paranoia requires some imagination.
