Another WashPost Obama poll, and another determined attempt from the newsroom to spin the results as awful news for the White House. That, despite the fact that Obama's job approval rating remains right where it was last December.

In other words, despite the BP catastrophe and despite the Beltway's beloved CW that Obama's presidency is slipping away (everything is going wrong!), according to the Post own polling data the president's standing remains basically unchanged over the last seven months. And worse, it remains at a very solid 50 percent approval rating.

That just seems to drive the Post nuts.
