On MSNBC this morning, New York Magazine's John Heilemann asked Fox News contributor Bill Kristol about his recent criticism of Glenn Beck and why it's taken so long for prominent Republicans to “call out” Beck and declare that he “should not be part of the mainstream of our conversation.”
Kristol answered by saying that he wouldn't “get into a debate” with Beck on MSNBC and instead will “debate him on Fox”:
KRISTOL: Well, I'm not going to get into a debate with Glenn Beck here on MSNBC. I'll debate him on Fox, where we're fair and balanced and we have these debates among ourselves.
OK, it's unlikely that Beck and Kristol will actually meet face to face to discuss their recent attacks on each other. But Kristol does have a prominent platform on Fox, and apparently he'd rather use that to engage Beck than his opportunity on MSNBC.
Fine, then. So when exactly can we expect that to happen?
