In a Wall Street Journal op-ed today, Lucian Pugliaresi calls on Obama to “retreat from his war on petroleum” and “open up more North American resources for development.” Pugliaresi concludes:
Unlike costly programs for electric cars and renewable fuels, an aggressive petroleum development strategy will generate large and sustainable additions to both domestic employment and government receipts.
The Journal identified Pugliaresi as “president of the Energy Policy Research Foundation and a former staff member of the National Security Council under President Ronald Reagan.” But the Journal did not disclose that he is also Vice President of government affairs at Frontera Resources Corporation, "a Houston, Texas based international oil and gas company."
This is not the first time that the Wall Street Journal editorial page has withheld this sort of information from its readers.
