Fox “News” Channel has an “interesting” approach to “questioning” just how bad the “economy” was when President Obama took office:
Between the 2008 election and Obama's inauguration, the economy lost 2 million jobs. Economists at the Bureau of Economic Analysis recently reported that the economy shrunk by 8.9 percent during the fourth quarter* of 2008 -- the fastest rate of contraction in 50 years.
It's not really up for debate whether Obama inherited a bad economy. During the discussion over whether this message would resonate with voters, Fox's Megyn Kelly herself acknowledged that hundreds of thousands of jobs were being lost each month at the end of 2008.
Maybe Fox doesn't “know” what inherited means.
