The all-consuming sense of victimhood within the GOP Noise Machine, coupled with an endless desire to concoct pointless, hollow allegations of liberal bias, inevitably leads to nonsense like this: Condemning the press for an article toasting a Republican as a “star.”
Naturally, the confusion comes from one of Andrew Breitbart's race-obsessed bloggers [emphasis added]:
Certainly, the election of two Black Republicans to Congress should be a welcome sign of advancement to the self-described chaperones of minority interests, especially since Allen West and Tim Scott were elected in the Deep South (Florida and South Carolina respectively). But as they continue to demonstrate again and again, the far left's pining for “diversity” ends where political thought begins. Consider Politico's recent attempt to smear West, a retired Army Colonel, as a right-wing version of the despicable and shameless Alan Grayson.
And yes, in case you haven't been keeping score lately, Politico, the inside Beltway Establishment tip sheet, is now routinely attacked as a tool of the “far left.” (Go figure.)
But what about his hateful smear it published? It actually appeared in the form of a fluffy Politico piece headlined, “Meet the House's GOP's insta-stars.”
That's right, the confused Breitbart blogger whines about an article in which Politico had the audacity to single out West as an emerging “star” of the Republican Party. That's the smear.
I kid you not.
