Media Matters has recently criticized Andrew Breitbart's inclusion in ABC's election night coverage, as well as Breitbart's completely unsupported claim that a phone message shows journalists at CBS Anchorage affiliate KTVA “openly discussing creating, if not fabricating, two stories about” Republican Senate candidate Joe Miller. In response, Breitbart has lashed out at Media Matters on his website, in interviews and on his twitter page:
From Breitbart's October 31 Big Government post:
In response to the announcement that I would provide my analysis on ABC News from Arizona on election night, like-clockwork, from the George Soros-funded Media Matters to Keith Olbermann to Huffington Post to Daily Kos to Talking Points Memo to Twitter (#boycottABCNEWS), the institutional left began on Friday to inundate ABC News with a wave of partisan objections and unfounded allegations against me.

As is evidenced by George Soros's $1 million dollar re-investment in Media Matters, which led the harassment campaign to silence center-left commentator Juan Williams, the political left is doubling down on its “silence your critics” strategy.
I am no stranger to this particular kind of tactic. In fact, my business has been built on the premise of fighting it. Boo, George Soros! Bring it on, John Podesta!
Is this trend of silencing dissenting voices not wholly obvious even to the untrained eye?
From Daily Caller's October 31 post:
“Of course it's JournoList - it's Greg Sargent,” Breitbart said in a phone interview. “Then you see Ben Smith say 'a snippet,' acting as if the audio, the information, isn't telling enough. Then, you see Media Matters - the same players - the same ones that get invited to the White House, the same ones that get on special conference calls, the same ones that get the shout-outs at the press conferences, who get their presidential 15 minutes of fame, the same bloggers who have access to key people within the administration. They're all working in cahoots with each other, it's predictable. Every single damaging bit of revelation.”

Breitbart railed on Media Matters as well, which apparently had a hand in getting him kicked off election commentary on ABC's network on Tuesday night after he released this tape. Media Matters, a widely discredited left-wing advocacy group, launched an attack after ABC seemed to announce that Breitbart had been booked to provide on-air election night commentary.
“George Soros, in his plane, a private jet, a global warming jet, flew and dropped money on Alaska on a series of left-wing bloggers and infested it, the Alaska media, with an anti-reformist agenda,” Breitbart said. “The Republican Party up there is corrupt, the media up there is corrupt, the Democratic Party up there is corrupt and George Soros has helped to sully it. This is why Sarah Palin had to step down - because they were trying to assault her using fake journalism in order to assassinate her character because they saw that she was a threat, a huge potential juggernaut.”
From FishbowlDC's November 1 post:
But beyond ABC, Breitbart's deep-seated contention is with anyone he considers to be left-wing media. Those at Media Matters rank high on his contempt list, such as senior fellow Eric Boehlert. He also seethes at John Podesta, president of the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank. He blames all media on the left for Olbermann's “Worst” declaration.
In the late-night phone call with FishbowlDC, Breitbart went into a rant. He unleashed on the left, saying, “unsourced, cowardly, chicken sh*t Podesta-Bohlert bullsh*t.” He went on: “These creepy Caucasians. Every one of these Caucasian freaks have Daddy issues. Underline freaks. Italicize eunuchs.”
