GRAHAM LEDGER (HOST): The president never said that he has total authority over you, governor. I wish he did. I wish he did. I wish the president, right now, had authority over the governor of New York and had authority over the governor of California and had authority over the governor of Michigan, over the governor of Colorado, Washington State, Oregon — all those blue states.
Thirty percent of the nation — thirty percent of the nation! — are controlled by these blue state governors, right now, that are pushing back all efforts to re-open the United States of America for business, and this is the problem. This is the collision that we're seeing unfold right now.
It is driven, I know in my heart, by politics. It is driven by an insatiable desire to crush the re-election hopes of Donald Trump by crashing the economy.
