During the third and final presidential debate moderator, Chris Wallace asked Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton whether it was her “dream” to have “open borders.” Wallace's question was in reference to comments Clinton made during a speech in 2013 which were recently released by WikiLeaks. Politifact notes that “experts suggested Clinton could have been talking about free travel or open trade, or immigration policy” during her remarks. But Wallace did not ask Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump about how he advocated for open borders in a CNN op-ed in which he wrote “the solution is clear. We will have to leave borders behind and go for global unity when it comes to financial stability.” From the October 19 presidential debate:
