RICK SANTORUM: Anybody who honestly looked at what was said tonight, this was a win for the president, and on several fronts.

Everybody can, you know, Louis is criticizing the president for being insincere and all that, but the president did something he doesn't do very often, and I thought he did it, for him, very well, which was to show a softer side, to make a more compassionate argument, and to tone down the rhetoric.

That -- that's why I disagree with you, that having him more, you know, spontaneous -- this is not the spontaneousness we need from Donald Trump. We need this, the presidential Donald Trump, the Donald Trump who actually thought through this speech, worked with people, worked with his Homeland Security people and put a presentation together.
