CHRIS HAYES (HOST): Part of the problem there that strikes me, or has been the problem so far is, is the fact that this economy on a macro level looks much better than it was, and then you zoom in and then there's huge pockets of the country that are not doing very well, and there's all sort of distributional problems. And you end up in a position, which I think was a position the Democrats got caught in a little bit this year, telling people it's OK.
ERIC BOEHLERT: Just a quick point, look at the economy Bill Clinton gave George W. Bush, look at the economy Barack Obama is giving -- I mean, Democrats are really good at handing off robust economies and we cross our fingers the last one was kind of driven into the ditch. So I think Trump is going -- you get the sense he's been surrounded by these sycophants for 30-40 years. Every Trump Organization idea that works was his, right? He takes credit for it, every bad idea he blames someone else. So as you said, of course he's going to blame Obama. And taking credit now, he's kind of buying into this fake news idea, he's just going to create his own reality. Every tweet now has not one, has like two or three lies per sentence. They're only 140 characters but his tweets about the economy are crazy.
TARA DOWDELL: A lie left -- if you let it stand, it's going to become the truth.
BOEHLERT: That's right, it's up to Democrats, its also up to the press.
