BRANDY ZADROZNY (NBC NEWS REPORTER): Facebook has said for the last year that they are going to fight misinformation when it comes to vaccines and health outcomes. And unfortunately, what they've done is say we're going to moderate in this way, we're not going to allow them to buy ads anymore, we're going to have a pop-up window that comes up over their group that says, you know, you should consult the CDC. And these are all baby steps and incremental moves that are something and health advocates have said, well, thank you.
But the bigger portion is how can you say you're fighting health misinformation when you allow a group of 139,000 people to belong to a group that peddles health misinformation as a mission. It's just antithetical to the idea that they're doing something, even though they say they are.
