GREG GUTFELD (CO-HOST): President-elect Trump building a celebrity cabinet, tapping WWE co-founder Linda McMahon to lead the Education Department, an agency that he's vowed to gut. And Oprah's favorite doc, Dr. Oz, will lead Medicare and Medicaid Services. All right. Interesting picks, Jesse. I have an issue with Dr. Oz.
JESSE WATTERS (CO-HOST): What?
GUTFELD: Well, OK. He's an — he was — he's one of the greatest heart surgeons on the planet before he turned to TV. He added, I would — you know, we talked about this in the B block. He had, I feel, a very harmful stance on surgeries for kids in the trans world.
WATTERS: Oh, he was pro-kid surgery?
GUTFELD: Yes. And he's since backed off, saying there's no science behind it, but I think he went forward with this stuff on his show because, visually, it was appealing. And I don't know whether — I have mixed feelings about it because I think he's a successful guy, smart guy, and everything, but that's one thing I wanted — I would ask about.
WATTERS: I would ask about that too, and I wouldn't expect him to do the opposite of what Trump's agenda is. It's not like he's gonna go haywire and start cutting kids up at the agency. This is something — trust this guy. He's gonna do a good job. He's great on television.
And that's what a lot of these guys are. Guys you can trust that are good on TV. It's not like you're hiring, like, the offensive coordinator for the Jets. And I'm putting you in there because I like you and you're good on TV. You know? You're just gonna get wiped out by the Chargers week on. They'll probably run up the score to, like, 80-nothing. You don't know anything about football. It doesn't matter though. This is a federal bureaucracy. It runs itself. They're there to cut the waste and to not let people sue the bejesus out of Trump personally.
