BILL HEMMER (CO-ANCHOR): Well, you're out with a brand-new book, and it's a good one. I want to know why you wrote it, I want to know what your message is.
CHARLES PAYNE (FOX BUSINESS HOST): My main frustration is that I know almost everyone in America can change their economic lives. And I think the main ingredient missing is a lack of confidence. And that's why I wrote the book.
HEMMER: Confidence?
PAYNE: Confidence in what we know. Confidence in -- people talk about, I played the market before and I lost, or I bought a stock, or I'm intimidated. And my favorite is when people tell me I don't know what to buy. I always look at them and say, well, I can remember years ago when Under Armour was hot, and the guy on the streets stopped me. JULIE BANDERAS (CO-ANCHOR): Take a look in the mirror.
PAYNE: Right. So I said to him, I said, well obviously you like the product, did you tell five or 10 friends about it? Yeah. So I said you're willing to be an unpaid spokesperson, spend your hard-earned money on it, but you don't think you should be part-owner of the company?
