Fox News Reportedly Cuts Ties With Contributor Bo Dietl
The Daily Beast: “Fox News Has Reportedly Cut Ties With On-Air Personality Bo Dietl.” The Daily Beast reported that, according to New York magazine reporter Gabriel Sherman, Bo Dietl “is no longer a contributor” at Fox News. Dietl told The Daily Beast, “‘My contract ran out in the end of July, and [Fox] hasn’t renewed it yet.’” [The Daily Beast, 8/18/16]
Dietl Has Repeatedly Advocated For Profiling Muslims And Surveilling Mosques
Dietl On Mosque Surveillance: “Let's Stop Worrying About People's Rights.” On the November 16 edition of Hannity, Fox News contributor Bo Dietl said “let's stop worrying about people's rights” in the Muslim community and advocated instead for “eavesdropping on these radical mosques” in light of the Paris terror attacks. Dietl: We Must Profile “Guys That Look Like Aba Daba Doo And Aba Daba Dah.” Dietl advocated for racial profiling saying “We know there's a war by fundamentalists and terrorists to kill us. Dietl: McKinney, TX, Cops Who Manhandled Black Teen Girl May Have Felt Threatened Because The Teens Might Have Said, “I’m Gonna Pop A Cap.” Dietl claimed that the police officer who manhandled a black teenage girl at a McKinney, TX, pool could have felt justifiably threatened because the teens might have told him, “I'm gonna pop a cap.” [Fox News, Hannity, 6/8/15]
Dietl Promoted Discriminatory Chokehold And Stop-And-Frisk Procedures Following Eric Garner’s Death. Dietl responded to Eric Garner’s death, which resulted from a fatal chokehold by the New York Police Department, by suggesting that the medical examiner’s report showing a crushed windpipe was erroneous, and advocated for “an independent medical examiner to look at that autopsy report." Dietl: Refugees Raping And Rioting In Europe Are Going To Do The Same In America. Dietl said, “our news media is covering” up coverage of “Cops getting shot, riots in the street with these refugees, and what's happening in Germany, 1,200 people, females getting raped,” because “They don't want to show what this refugee influx does and what it's going to do to the United States of America.“ Dietl said, “if we don't stop the immigration to know who's coming in here, we're going to have it in our backyard.” [Fox News, Hannity, 7/14/16]
