Last week, I noted Fox Nation's tendency to distort and exaggerate the stories it links to, overstating them in order to make Democrats look bad. Today, we find another example, as even a Fox News report wasn't quite rapidly partisan enough for the folks who put together Fox Nation. Here's the Fox Nation headline:
But the article that headline refers to -- a FoxNews.com article about President Obama's decision to deploy National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border -- doesn't say a word about the deployment being a “PR Stunt.” None of the several Republicans quoted in the report so much as hint at the possibility that the deployment is a stunt. The article itself doesn't do so. Fox Nation just made it up. But they put a question mark on the end, so I guess that makes it legitimate journalism by Fox's standards.
