Fox Nation is up to their old tricks again, inserting a racial angle to a story in the apparent hopes of riling up racially intolerant commenters. From FoxNation.com on May 16:
The Southern Poverty Law Center explains that members of the fringe “sovereign citizen” movement “believe that they -- not judges, juries, law enforcement or elected officials -- get to decide which laws to obey and which to ignore, and they don't think they should have to pay taxes.”
Fox inserts “white” in their headline for a story about the “sovereign citizen movement,” but in the linked story at Mediaite -- no race is mentioned, and in the original story at CBS race isn't mentioned either. Furthermore, one of the examples CBS used to illustrate the “sovereign citizen” movement is actor Wesley Snipes, who is African-American.
This story is another instance of Fox Nation deceptively adding race to stories as part of its divisive editorial policy.
