HARRIS FAULKNER (ANCHOR): What is one singular thing you can tell us about these tariffs?
JACKIE DEANGELIS (FOX BUSINESS HOST): I wouldn't call it "Liberation Day" even though he is calling it that. To me, it's a global reset. And you've got to think about the big picture here. We have been taken advantage of, administration after administration, and he is finally saying enough is enough, these countries have to be put in their place. So, if you're taxing us, we're gonna tax you back. It may even be more generous than that from what we're understanding. And so that level playing field comes back to the United States. And one more thing that I think is really really important about this, for national security, getting our standing back, for people realizing that we are not a doormat anymore as a nation, and that enough is enough.
FAULKNER: Yeah. Last one. It's not inflation where the entire economy feels the weight like a tax, a burden. That's what we had under the former President Biden.
DEANGELIS: Yeah, and we weren't getting anything else anywhere. We weren't getting wage growth, we weren't prospering in any way. All people felt was that the government, and then the inflationary pressures within the consumer sector, were just taking, taking, taking from the household budget. And that's why I think it's so important to look at this and say when all of his policy is implemented, your family is going to feel better than they did four years ago.
