JOHN ROBERTS (CO-ANCHOR): So Stuart, there's a bit of a high-wire act that the president is going through in relation to American voters here. Because a Fox News poll on voter concerns asked the following question: Are you concerned about inflation and higher prices? Eighty-two percent said yes. Concerned about entering a recession? Seventy-two percent said yes. Are you concerned that the China trade war might escalate into a military confrontation? Sixty-six percent said yes, and 58% said they are concerned with what's going on in the stock market. So, if President Trump doesn't land the plane, this could come crashing down on top of him.
STUART VARNEY (FOX BUSINESS HOST): That's why we are waiting for some kind of tweak in policy. I keep using that word, "tweak in policy," but that's what people are looking for. Because voters are saying, hey, we're not real happy with the economy, with the possibility of a recession, with inflation, and the tariffs. Will the president adjust policy to take care of that political damage that maybe is happening to him at the moment? It's a question of wait and see. We're going to have to wait quite a long time, I think.
