LAWRENCE JONES (CO-HOST): They are hyping up Zelensky. And you got one person, who is the President of the United States, who is trying to end the war. And I don't think they are doing him any favors by going on this photo op. When all he needs to do, not only just pick up the phone, but publicly apologize to the president of the United States. He needs to listen to also his advisors. They told him not to do it, he continues to go on social media and taunt the president with his words. We know the president as Ainsley noted wants to do a deal, but Zelensky won't even get to the first part of it, which is signing a mineral agreement which links us financially --
AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST): It's almost like Europe stepped in and was like you know what, y'all can't do the deal, we're going to try do the deal. And you know what I say, fine, let them, go for it.
JONES: And they know they are not going to do it.
BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): But you know why, though.
STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): And so what happened on Sunday was there was an emergency NATO meeting and we weren't there, ultimately. Keep in mind, today, this afternoon, right now in Ukraine, Zelensky is going, OK, by pausing that, that stops all stuff that was coming and keep in mind, it takes about eight months after stuff is approved by our Congress to send over, it takes eight months to get there, but that's if it is already made. If it made by U.S. defense contractors, it can take years for it to come. So the pipeline is still really flowing that way. Mr. Zelensky is probably thinking, alright if I don't apologize, what is in it for me? One of the things that is being overlooked, that a close advisor to the president could actually impact is the Starlink internet, that's Elon Musk. If Elon Musk wants to send a message, all he's gotta do, is you know, I'm going to pull the plug on that, because they've got tens of thousands of those terminals over there now.
KILMEADE: Just keep in mind what you guys are saying, you are saying that Zelensky is worse than Putin.
DOOCY: No.
JONES: No we're not Brian.
KILMEADE: You have to take Starlink from our ally in order to get them to do a economic deal or get them to the table? I mean the last thing you want to do, Europe sees this. Europe says if Ukraine falls, selfishly, Eastern Europe will gradually come in the next five or six years, that's where they've been doing it. Georgia, they've already infiltrated Maldova, they already basically took over Belarus, and now they've took a portion of Ukraine. They see the Soviet Union reforming, so now they are stepping up all because of President Trump and I think that is great. So if they could stop them here, it is for their own safety, too. And it's Vladimir Putin who is the bad guy. Zelensky might not be the leader of choice, but he is Ukrainian's leader of choice.
JONES: But Brian everybody knows that Putin is the bad guy, we don't need to virtue signal every single day and say Putin is the bad guy. Just saying that he is the bad guy doesn't end the war. What ends the war is Zelensky partnering with United States from an economic standpoint, that is his security guarantee and he won't do this, he won't even let us get to Putin.
EARHARDT: And Brian he used to be so grateful to us, we've given three times more than Europe has. And he comes to our country, and it was a slap in the face in the Oval Office --
JONES: It's disrespectful.
EARHARDT: So that's all it is, it's when someone forgets what we have given them.
KILMEADE: I don't think he forgets. JD Vance comes out and says you haven't thanked them, well that was a free-flowing conversation, the first 30 minutes were perfect, last 30 minutes went way off the rails. And then they were going to have a press conference, it might have went off the rails at the press conference, but they didn't even get to the lunch. So he had 50 minutes, out of the 50 minutes the last 25 are going to be in the Trump library, they're going to play in a loop everyday when people walk in. It wasn't a bad moment for Donald Trump, but in the big picture, just realize if you deny Starlink to your ally, then you're not only you are not only not providing weapons, you are letting maybe Kyiv fall. And that's not what anybody wants.
