JONATHAN TURLEY (GUEST): The opinion was not a surprise, particularly after the oral argument. The court here adopted the middle path. It rejected the most extreme positions.

What the president said tonight in his address was untrue, meaning he was talking about "there are no limits on what a president can do in office." That's not true. That is, what the court was talking about was absolute immunity for core presidential functions, a presumption of immunity for official functions that can be rebutted. And then there are many things that will be personal or unofficial actions taken by a president. That's not what President Biden just told the American people. And so, if you really want to establish the rule of law, you might want to be clear on what the law is after this decision.
