Beck Sees Evidence For His Grand Conspiracy Theory Everywhere

Glenn Beck has asserted that protests in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States are all part of a “grand plan” coordinated by American leftists and Islamists working together to destroy Israel and the West and install a global caliphate or a new world order. In an attempt to validate this theory, Beck has cited, among other things, the color red and purported “code words.”

Beck Grasps At Straws To Feed His Islamo-Commie “Grand Plan” Theory

Beck: “The Fist. Where Have I Seen The Fist Before? ... The Young Communists Also Use That Fist In Their Logo.” From the February 22 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

BECK: What happens if the Muslim Brotherhood is successful in Libya? How high is the gas? Who's their next target? What's to stop them from saying, take out the regime in Saudi Arabia, too? Again, I'm no fan of the Saudi Arabia regime. I didn't like it when Bush was walking in the garden holding hands.

But let me show you this. Can you bring up Facebook? Saudi revolution, March 20th. This is happening -- gee, the fist, the fist. Where I have seen the fist before? Is that -- oh, yeah, the Young Communists also use that fist in their logo.

This is happening. What happens? Are you willing to roll the dice on an entire region flipping to some blind, unnamed democracy with an unknown outcome? You willing to? 'Cause that's what's happening. And every single person in the media is responsible for not informing you what this means. You are about to pay through the nose. This will collapse the economy. Beck On “Day Of Rage”: “Where Have I Heard That Before? ... In the 1960s With Bill Ayers And The Weather Underground.” From the February 1 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

BECK: There's one other slogan that has jumped out at me as well. They were promoting the January 25th, the Friday protest and they came up with a title in advance for them. Did you happen to catch what it was called?

Friday, this, was called the “day of rage.” Because I have read all about the Marxist and the revolutionaries in America, I recognize the “day of rage.” Where have I heard that before?

Oh, yes, that's right. We heard it before in the 1960s with Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground. That's when they had the violent student riots in the 1960s. That was the day of rage.

Weather Underground talks about it in the Weather Underground's works. Huh, coincidence?

By the way, day of rage -- wasn't Frances Fox Piven recently just saying, where is the rage? Where is the outrage? Where is the anger? You've got get on the street and have riots and embrace your anger.

Why would anyone -- can you imagine if the Tea Parties called for a day of rage, what would be said? Something is wrong. Why in the world would Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn even care about Egypt at all? Oh, they do, they care deeply -- another connection.

[...]

BECK: There's a question I'm guessing no one will ever ask. Why were Bernadine Dohrn and Bill Ayers terrorists in the Weather Underground? And Code Pink founder Jodie Evans involved with the Muslim Brotherhood during in the Gaza flotilla.

Ayers and Dohrn organized an effort to bring political pressure to bear on the Mubarak regime and Israel to allow for the aid from Hamas, which is the Muslim Brotherhood, to be delivered through Egyptian checkpoints.

Remember Ayers and Dohrn participated in the Weather Underground, 1969 days of rage in Chicago. Last Friday's rioting in Egypt was dubbed by the Muslim Brotherhood “days of rage.” What a coincidence. [Fox News, Glenn Beck, 2/1/11, accessed via Nexis]

Beck: “They Are Carrying Red Flags In Wisconsin” And “In India.” From the February 24 edition of Premiere Radio Networks' The Glenn Beck Show:

BECK: Do you have it? Food prices. All the central banks say our Federal Reserve caused inflation and the food prices all around the world to go up. Egypt has rising food and energy prices. They are organized by the Islamic extremists and the trade unions. Egypt is the keystone to stability in the Middle East. It sets the Middle East on fire. The -- Mubarak leaves, the regular people go away and they're fine, but the labor unions continue to protest on the streets. At the same time, you have the group from the ACLU -- from AFL-CIO and Code Pink, they come back and they immediately go from Egypt to Wisconsin.

The trade unions in Egypt now start to release tapes supporting the people in Wisconsin, and now they're sowing the seeds of discontent and they are carrying red flags in Wisconsin. Back to the Federal Reserve inflating our money -- they cause inflation in food prices, which have not hit here yet but they have hit in the Middle East. When I said a few weeks back, and they will spread and I showed India -- no, that's crazy. That's crazy. There's -- that's not even an Islamic state. No, you're right, it is not.

So who has 40 thousand people on the streets? The labor unions who also worked in Egypt. The labor unions are doing this one and leading the way in India, but they're carrying red flags and they are protesting food prices. [Premiere Radio Networks, The Glenn Beck Show, 2/24/11]

Beck Connects Egyptian Opposition's “Shadow Parliament” to Arianna Huffington's 2000 “Shadow Conventions.” From the February 3 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

BECK: May I quote The Wall Street Journal from today? “Even before last month's popular ouster of Tunisia's president, electrified protesters in Egypt and across the Middle East, these people held dozens of meetings lasting more than 100 hours. They created 100-member shadow legislator of union leaders, judges, representatives from youth parties and the country's banned but influential Muslim Brotherhood, say the people in attendance.”

That is weird. What do they call that again? Tiffany, what do they call it, a shadow?

FEMALE VOICE: Shadow party, shadow government.

BECK: Shadow government. Oh, this is the shadow party. This is the book that we showed you. Remember the puppet show we did? It's a shadow party. It's a shadow government. Shadow --

And remember Arianna Huffington? Remember when she had the Shadow Party Conventions? Isn't this weird how it all -- hmm. Islamic socialism. God, it sounds newfangled; we should check into it, maybe it's something we want to do. [Fox News, Glenn Beck, 2/3/11]

Beck Points Out That Some Muslims Mentioned “Social Justice,” A Communist “Code Word.” From the February 3 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

BECK: Groups from the hardcore socialist left and communism and extreme Islam will work together to overturn relatively -- relative stability because in the status quo, they are both ostracized from power and the mainstream in most parts of the world.

That's here. I'll put this up for you. Glenn's theory. Here it is. Got it?

That's it and I stand by it. Is it so farfetched, really?

I should tell you something that the left is ramped up the spin machine so quickly on this one. Maybe it hits too close to home. You think?

I mean, it would be a crazy theory if I only had, you know, them saying catch phrases like social justice, then it would be a theory and it would be pretty thin. We have that. Watch.

ANJEM CHOUDARY (British activist) [video clip]: I do believe that when the Sharia is implemented and you have the education system of Islam, and you have the social and economic justice, suddenly appeal --

MOHAMED ELBARADEI (former director of the International Atomic Energy Agency and Nobel Peace Prize winner) [video clip]: A lot of people expected the U.S. to be on the side of the people, you know, who are -- legitimate needs for democracy and social justice.

BECK: All right. That would be a crazy theory. That would be nice, OK?

I mean, we told you about social justice. It's a code word. Not every time you hear it, but you should question it every time you hear it because it's a code word -- comes from the Fabian society, the communist, and the progressives here in America.

It's really used mainly by those with an agenda or those who are just oblivious to what it really means, where the origins are from. Now, if that's the only evidence I had to support the theory, then it wouldn't be a very strong case and I'd probably be off the air. That's why we've devoted this entire week of shows to diving deeper in this story. Far deeper than the, you know, oh, so intellectual pro, anti-Mubarak demeaning news that they dumb down because, you know, I think most people just believe you are a simpleton who can't decide for themselves. [Fox News, Glenn Beck, 2/3/11]

Beck Connects “Party for Socialism and Liberation” To “Liberation Theology.” From the February 22 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

BECK: In an attempt to transform the Wisconsin protests from the vulgar signs and angry union members, you know, come here, kind of like these guys back over here, you know, the angry union members -- they are angry because the benefits that they have still far exceed the average worker of the private sector. Yes. Well, they're going to try to transform everything that's happening in other cities and make it all about the working man. That's what's happening here.

The socialists and communist signs are being ignored by the rest of the media. The huge community organizers staging these events are being left hidden, but here is what it is -- look at this. Party for Socialism and Liberation. Gee, liberation theology.

A new truth is being presented. Yes, there are union members who just think that they want what's fair. But who is moving the chess pieces in Wisconsin? We know that president's own organization, Organizing for America, has now been closely involved along with the DNC.

We told you also the group that William Ayers was in -- SDS, Students for a Democratic Society, they have been involved and they are part of the planning.

Now, Obama's former green jobs czar, Van Jones, what a surprise, a guy who is a communist, says he's introducing the new American Dream Movement. This is fantastic. [Fox News, Glenn Beck, 2/22/11, accessed via Nexis]

Beck: Obama Said Nations Should Speak With “One Voice” About Libya, Which Shows “This Is A One-World Movement.” From the February 24 edition of Beck's radio show:

BECK: The central bankers are now in agreement that the U.S. Fed, the Federal Reserve, is responsible for rising food prices that are sparking riots in the Middle East. We told you that this was happening. Now you have the central bankers all around the world saying this. Once you do, you now trip another wire that we warned you about, that we are going to be some of the most hated people on the planet.

Did you notice last night, in this Moammar Gadhafi speech, that Barack Obama says that it is imperative that the nations and the people of the world speak with one voice? He is already operating in a one-world kind of way, because this is a one-world movement. If you don't think this is coordinated, you're sadly mistaken. [Premiere Radio Networks, The Glenn Beck Show, 2/24/11]

Beck Jumps From “Collective Action” To “Collective Salvation.” From the February 24 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

BECK: Well, it's kind of -- the American Dream kind of like hope and change, isn't it? That doesn't really mean anything, does it? Maybe it means different things to different people. They talked about a different American Dream. I never heard it expressed this way. But here it is. Listen. 2008.

TRUMKA [video clip]: The American Dream is a progressive vision. It is something that we share together. It is not about an individual climbing the ladder. It is about making sure that there are ladders for all of us to climb. The American Dream is a progressive vision and that it requires collective action on our society.

BECK: Collective action. The American Dream is progressive -- the pensions and ladders, all kind of stuff. Not what you thought. Not about the fair shake. The actual phrase does not mean what you think. It doesn't mean the heart part like you think it does from our Founders. No, no, no. No.

I guess mandatory houses and making sure everybody has equal stuff. That was Martin Luther King's dream we found out from Al Sharpton earlier.

I told you it will feel as if progressives are perverting or redefining the meaning behind the American Dream. But most likely, you don't know what the dream is. They are not. It was coined by progressives and it is collective action. Well, why not have collective action? So we can have collective salvation, it is the original definition from the progressives and the American Dream. [Fox News, Glenn Beck, 2/24/11]

Beck: “Notice All The Red Flags And T-Shirts.” From the February 24 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

BECK: You know, people who pointed out that the unions were working together, you know, and organizations were pushing the Egyptian protests -- those people were called crazy. But it looks like every day that goes by those people are more and more right and you should pay attention, because this leads to something bigger. Another thing some people were called crazy for was saying that things would spread into places like India. Pay no attention to the man behind me -- he's crazy. Is he pointing to India yet? Yeah. Yeah. He said that it would spread to India, the riots. And everybody said, there's no Muslims there; that's crazy. There's no Muslims in India.

Yeah, yeah, see, back over here. I didn't say it was just the Islamists. I said it was the communists and socialists and radicals working together against Israel, capitalism, and to overturn stability. So, gee, do you think maybe we should check on India?

Come on, let me show you this. You're gonna love this. BBC news: “Thousands protest against high food prices in Delhi.” Wait a minute. What did we just see from The Wall Street Journal? Rising food prices and who's causing that? Oh, that's right -- Timothy Geithner and Ben Bernanke. That is -- that's us. And guess who's organizing all of these riots and these marches? Say it with me: the unions. Oh, my gosh, look at all of the red there. They're also being aided by the communists in India.

Do you see what's happening? Our food prices have led to increased food prices now around the globe. We're inflating our money -- increasing food prices. Now unions are there with the hard part -- to help unite the workers and get them to rise up because of high food prices. Notice all the red flags and t-shirts? Yeah. [Fox News, Glenn Beck, 2/24/11]

Beck: “You Don't Think It's A Grand Plan? That In India With Red Flags, Egypt, Trumka, AFL- CIO, Greece, U.K., Wisconsin, You Don't Think That's Connected?” From the February 24 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck:

BECK: Listen to these words in a different light. We have played them 100 times, but listen again to the words of Andy Stern, when he says this --

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANDY STERN: Workers of the world unite. It's not just a slogan anymore it's the way we have to do our work.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BECK: He said that in 2007, SDS radical revolutionary. You don't think it's a grand plan? That in India with red flags, Egypt, Trumka, AFL- CIO, Greece, U.K., Wisconsin, you don't think that's connected? You're a fool because listen to that entire clip. Listen carefully.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

STERN: I mean we're in the process of building a global -- trade, capital went global as you said. Companies are global. How are unions national or local? We are beginning. We have office in Australia, Switzerland, London, South America and Africa. We have been working with unions around the world and what we are working toward is building a global organization.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BECK: Workers of the world unite.

BECK: We have been focusing on all the chaos taking place all around the world, which is frightening. I ask you to prepare because your world is about to change overnight, but there is some good news that I want to share with you. [Fox News, Glenn Beck, 2/24/11, accessed via Nexis]
