There are a couple of silver linings here. I hate to say it, but what this fire means is Gavin Newsom, for sure, is finished in politics. The scheming, the conniving, the obsession with image. We can all see it. And it's — America is never buying this guy.
And Mayor Bass. I don't think she can hold on to the job for much longer. You know, when you're the mayor of a big city, why would you ever leave that city? Why would you ever go anywhere else? I mean, if you want to go, you're in California. I don't know, go to Catalina Island or something if you really want to get away from it all. But she went to Africa. She went to Ghana. And when this fire broke out, that's where she was. What in the world would you be doing over there? I think she regrets it now. Looks like a reporter caught up with her shortly after she returned, and she had very little to say about the situation.

KELLY: Yikes. She actually seems like she might be genuinely ashamed. She's not talking about pro-choice values or the community thing, and the Latinos and the Black. Just, all that gibberish that got her elected, it's useless now. That fire is still raging. Still not contained.
