I first told you about Fair Warning, the non-profit site that is focused on health and safety issues and stories, a few weeks ago. It is online for the first time today.
“Our project is led by award-winning investigative journalist Myron Levin. After 23 years as a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times, he founded FairWarning as a new model for presenting public interest journalism on subjects that are underreported or absent from traditional media,” Creators Myron Levin, Joanna Lin, Bridget Huber, Jill Replogle and Matthew Richmond wrote in an e-mail. “Along with our own in-depth reports, we offer on a daily basis a wide sweep of legal and regulatory news on safety and health issues, drawn from news reports, professional and academic journals, court rulings and government actions. FairWarning also features commentary and opinion, and invites readers to engage in lively discussion.”
Initial reports on the site range from the dangers of old trucks to job safety data.
