DANA PERINO (FOX NEWS ANCHOR): Mitt Romney had a really good point. He said what they're doing down there at the border now by saying don't come yet or accepting children but not the parents, that that is actually a de facto child separation policy.
MARTHA MACCALLUM (FOX NEWS ANCHOR): It is. It's pretty hard to see it any other way. It's hard to see it as any more humane than what happened under the Trump administration. In many ways, you could make an argument that that was more humane. The signal that was sent, in the beginning the signal misfired. The idea was don't come, because you'll be separated from your children.
PERINO: It got away from them. Basically it was like we're going to separate you to deter you from coming. Now the de facto part is that now if the kids are allowed to stay and the parents aren't, they're making the same decision.
