Trump, Heritage, and numerous other prominent conservatives have sponsored Laura Loomer’s newsletter

Even Marjorie Taylor Greene has sponsored it

Numerous conservative politicians and organizations have been “sponsors” of notorious bigot Laura Loomer’s newsletter, according to a Media Matters review. Those conservatives include The Heritage Foundation, Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Jim Jordan (R-OH), and a committee composed of Trump’s 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee.

Loomer has had a long history of bigoted and horrific remarks. In 2017, she described herself as “pro-white nationalism” and a “proud islamophobe.” That year she also celebrated the death of over 2,000 migrants. Last year, she shared a video claiming that “9/11 was an inside job.” (This morning, Loomer was leaning further into 9/11 conspiracy theories, writing: “Whatever you do…. Do NOT google Building 7.”) And she recently claimed that “the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center” if Harris wins the presidency. (For more of Loomer’s history, go here.)

Trump is a big fan and promoter of Loomer, who recently traveled with the former president to Pennsylvania and New York.

In recent days, some Republicans have sought to distance their party from Loomer and call for the former president to cut ties to the far-right extremist.

But Loomer’s relationship with Republicans extends to the financial realm through sponsorships. A Media Matters-linked account subscribes to Loomer’s newsletter and has received numerous sponsored messages from prominent Republicans and Republican-aligned groups since 2020. Those messages asked Loomer’s readers for support through donations.

Here is a list of notable sponsors along with their mailings. The messages are sent from Loomer’s website and contain the text, “Please read the message below from our sponsor.”

(In some cases, organizations sent multiple sponsored emails; in those cases only the most recent is listed.)

Three of those organizations — Conservative Partnership Institute, American Commitment, and The Heritage Foundation — are now part of Project 2025.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) appeared as a sponsor of Loomer’s newsletters. Greene was also the author of a 2021 fundraising email for the House Freedom Fund, the campaign arm of the House Freedom Caucus (Greene was kicked out of the caucus last year). The Republican member of Congress, who also has a history of bigoted and conspiratorial rhetoric, has been heavily criticizing Loomer over her recent remarks about Harris. Loomer has responded, in part, by attacking Greene by referencing a story first surfaced by Media Matters.
