The Salt Lake Tribune is the latest newspaper to cut its reader advocate, according to a memo to staff from Editor Nancy Conway, which was first posted on the Poynter.org Romenesko blog.
“I am sorry to have to tell you that budget considerations make it necessary to cut the Tribune's Reader Advocate position,” Conway's memo said, in part. “Connie Coyne, who has filled the position for the past seven years, will be leaving us as of March 26th.”
